Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Hello.

Time for a new challenge Sweet Stampin' and this time our theme is Animals.  Easy you'd think? And maybe if I hadn't set myself so many conditions it might have been.  I cracked open a very old (and never before been used) stamp for this.

Dougal - Sugar Nellie
Dog Paw and Sentiment stamp (can't remember!)
Copics/Promarkers
Tag - Marianne Designs

I saw a couple of memes this week that really made me laugh and as they fit with the theme I've made something from them.  I've only finished one of the two so here it is....

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

.Hello.

Time for a new challenge Sweet Stampin' .  The theme this time is Use Your Old Stash. Now I have to confess that this is a combination of old and new.  The Lindy's Magicals I used for the background are new but the Little Miss Attitude was one of the very first stamps I bought, the Black Soot DI, the Tim Holtz Snarky stickers and the AALL and Create No are all older (full disclosure, the No is actually from a number set and had a full stop after it but I didn't ink that bit).

So here is Little Miss A's memorydex card - got the memorydex holder for my birthday last year, made two cards and they recently went in the bin because they were rubbish so this is my first (ish) memorydex card.

Little Miss Attitude - Sugar Nellie Gorjuss Collection
Numbers - Janet Klein for Aall and Create
Copics/Promarkers/Flexmarkers
Prima Donna Purple - Lindy's Magicals
Black Soot Distress Ink - Tim Holtz
Snarky Sayings - Tim Holtz

Remember to drop by Sweet Stampin' and see what the rest of the Sweeties have been up to! Perhaps you could have a go yourself, don't forget to stamp now ;))

The End of the Week is Nigh....

Afternoon, can't believe it's Thursday already - where has the week gone?

It's Crafty Cabin night tonight so very much looking forward to another productive evening... I say that now I'll probably get there and not do anything.

Here's another card that has been sitting in my folder waiting patiently on being shared. Craig asked me to make a card for when he left after school care in June and this is what I came up with, I thought the boy looked suitably sad and I teamed it with the LotV tag stamps that I thought went best.

I really wish I had copied what he wrote inside the card for them because for an 11 year old it was very profound and would have brought a tear to a glass eye!

See you tomorrow for a new challenge at Totally Papercrafts.

Dream Valley Challenges

Afternoon all.

It's time for a new challenge at Dream Valley Challenges

This fortnight our theme is

Monochrome

Our sponsor this fortnight is Robyn's Fetish.

This is a card I made for a friend's sister in law (maybe.. I can't remember the exact relationship) but at some point last year I used a bit of the Craftwork Cards Twinkle paper and my friend asked if I could make a card using it as that's how she always refers to her sil - there were no other stipulations just the paper!

So I decided to go with Rosie - she's one of my Sugar Nellie favourites and I thought she was perfect for the occassion. If memory serves, after I had embossed the background card I chalked over it too and chalked round the edges of Rosie just to give her a more vintagey feel.

I really shouldn't have sat down

What a lovely day it's been, I hope wherever you are that the sun has been shining on you.

I ended up tidying up my craft stuff earlier as I moved something and tipped the tin of Prisamcolour pencils down the back of the book case.  I have retrieved all but one of them but it made me tidy up and I found things I had long since forgotten about.... So I have plans for later.

However, I now can't sit on one of the sofas in the living room as there is loads of stuff which was removed from the dining room sitting on it. Tomorrow's job perhaps.

I must go and take a photo of the clear dining table now for WOYWW..... what a difference from last week ;)

So onto today's card. A girl from work (well, she's still there, I'm not!) asked if I could do a card for someone else at work who likes knitting and sewing and did I have anything. I said I didn't but I would do a card anyway. Then when we were down in the garden centre at Cardwell Bay on Sunday there was a little basket of Sugar Nellie Leanne Ellis stamps (and a few Mangas) on a BOGOF... and what was there but this little image! It was meant to be.

So this is what I came up with :)

Challenges I'd like to enter:

The Sugar Bowl - Gayles Sketch
My Mum's Craft Shop - Birthday Girls
Divas by Design - Happy Birthday
Crafts and Me - Anything Goes

Image - SN, Leanne Ellis stamp, coloured with Promarkers, Sentiment, Stampin Up

Thanks for dropping by today. I'm away to tidy some more and then hopefully get a bit of crafting done later on.

Share It On Sunday

Wow, it's been a while since I did this but over at Sugar Nellie it's time to Share it on Sunday

This time I've decided to share some of these guys with you. I was introduced to them by my lovely friend Paul who has a Kid Robot collection! Paul and I spent many lunchtimes going to Forbidden Planet either to get one of these guys (and it's always a surprise which one you get) or to buy some comics :) I really hope he isn't missing me too much.

This first one is my particular favourite, it's from last year's collection and this is Ken the Mysterious Tiger. The rest are all from the 2012 collection.

Thanks for dropping by today. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

What to do?

This is Glasgow Fair Monday, it's the start of the trades fortnight so Andy is off for another day... although, he's gone to play golf so the boys and I are in the house.

I was full of plans to do something but it's looking kinda damp and miserable out there so not sure we will be doing very much.  Maybe the unpacking will get done at last.... Mmm, how could I make that fun?!

So I was at the Crafty Cabin last night as Cass and her family go on holiday on Tuesday, I'm afraid I wasn't that productive, although I should have been because I have loads to do.

I did manage to do a card for the Sugary Sunday SN Facebook challenge, which this week, is One For The Boys :) I'm not that happy with his hair, I tried to go for the choppy look but am not entirely convinced by it but figured if I tried to fix it I would end up binning it so it will do!

Challenges I'd like to enter:

Sugar Bowl - Gayle's sketch
Make it Monday
Creative Mondays - For Men
Incy Wincy - Dust it Off (the image is quite an old one, I think I may have used him once on Craig's birthday card a couple of years ago and then he went back in the box, the stamp, not Craig)
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Let's Hear it For the Boys

No new products were harmed in the making of this card! Use It Up 2012.

Image - Manga Boy, Funky Kits coloured with Promarkers and Copics, Sentiment, Ladybug Crafts Ink

Tools - Button Die, MFT, Cuttlebug

What a lovely day

no, honestly, the sun has been shining here all day. Unfortunately with a nice day the ironing basket seems to expand to gargantuan proportions!

Sorry I didn't post yesterday but I always find Father's day a little difficult although I did think about posting a photo of my lovely Dad but I just never got round to it as it was such a busy day.

Andy was still away yesterday so the boys and I got up, went to church, came home, went to rugby where Craig and I helped out on the cake stall. This is a very very bad job ;) The cakes look soooooo tempting. I have to admit to having one of Jan's chocolate chip cookies which was fab. And they must have been good - Scott had 3!!!!

After that we went to Asda as I'd promised the boys we'd do some baking for Daddy for Father's day. Well, by the time we got home, had dinner etc there was no time before they were having showers so I ended up baking by myself after they'd gone to bed. The cakes turned out ok though, even without their assistance.

So, onto a card. This is a stamp I won during a blog hop over at Sugar Nellies (and while I remember, apologies for not Sharing on Sunday). I inked her up. Coloured her face and hair and then she stayed in a poly pocket! I used her for the SN Facebook challenge last week which was dies and/or doodles. See, I'm getting more practice on the old doodling front!

Challenges I'd like to enter:

The Sugar Bowl - Sketch
Creatalicious - Anything Goes
Bunny Zoe - Girls, Girls, Girls
Sentimental Sundays - Summer Fun

Image - To and Fro, Funky Kits, coloured with Promarkers, Sentiment from All In The Family set, Stampin Up
Cardstock/Paper - From stash
Embellishments - Flowers, Pearls, from stash
Tools - Framelits, Stampin Up

Peace and quiet

wow, how easy is this kids being on holiday lark?! Yeah, right!!! I'm only saying that cos they went to the kids club this morning and as they were leaving the guy said they were on at a different place this afternoon between 2 and 4, cue much shrieking from the boys and their 2 friends so they're all away again this afternoon

I'm trying to spend the time productively *whistles* I've found a lost pj top down the back of one of the boys' drawers. Now I'm trying to tidy the spare/play room but I've kinda lost the will and the tidy up fairy and decluttering fairy are nowhere to be seen!

Went to CraftWorld this morning and bought some more promarkers *screams with excitment*. Now, that would be productive if I got my craft stuff out..... No, I must press on with the tidying. Got a card to share today that I'm sending to a very special girl. It's my friend's wee girl. A few weeks ago she had a sale of some of her more treasured possessions so that she could raise some money for the people of Japan and then last night she made her Brownie promise. Lauren, you're a little star!
Catch you tomorrow.
