Hello.

In Scotland we don't really have trick or treating - we have guising, so I thought I'd make a Scottish Hallowe'en card although I guess no one is going anywhere tonight anyway!

I've used some Vera Lane sets and paper pieced the ghost and the girls dress in some natty tartan paper.

Thought I'd break up the Halloween cards with this Christmas card I made to join in the sketch fun at Fezziwigs.

Found a set of free knitting papers here and thought they would be perfect for this girl with her hat and scarf.  Now if I was being picky (and let's face it I usually am) I think her hat should have been further down her head and the scarf ruther up - that's the way I'd wear mine!

Well, I must admit that since last week I've been trying to use up some old stuff and I saw this paper and thought it would be perfect to paper piece an elephant!  I sprayed the image with some Goosebumps stuff to try and make it look like it was raining, not sure you can see it though!

Another Coin

Following on from yesterday's ATC coins, I'd actually made another but it wasn't a Hallowe'en theme so I thought I'd give it it's own post.

Still using a Vera Lane Studio image, this is a Sorting Hat coin.... After I'd coloured it in I decided to try and draw some Sorting Hat features on it.  I think I've managed it.

I didn't have any cocktail sticks lying around so the wand is made from a cocktail umbrella!

Tracey Hey brought out some new stamps recently and when I saw Teacup Treasures I couldn't resist.

This is my first card using it and it had to be the rhino first! You will note that I didn't colour the inside of the cup, there are two reasons for that 

1 - I don't like drinking out of cups with a coloured inside 

and (more importantly)

2 - the rhino might have got hurt bathing in hot tea

This card took so long to make.  No really... I started by printing the image months ago and coloured her hat.  And then she got put to one side and she kept getting further and further down the to do pile... I even asked the lovely Wends to nag me in to finishing it.  And now I have.  Probably 8 months after I started it.
