Moving Along With The Times Challenge

Morning all.

We've had a wee summer break and now we're back and it's time for a new challenge over at Moving Along With The Times.

Our theme this time is

Feature an Animal (the cuter the better)

What could be cuter than wee James?

I know I don't like butterflies on cards but on this occasion I think they're ok.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Morning all, it's Saturday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' and I am gatecrashing another Team Abi week.

This week our theme is

Back to School

Now ours went back to school on 13th August (now before you tell me that's early can I just say that we stopped on 24th June so we had 7 weeks of holidays so please don't feel the children have been hard done by) so I'm a little belated in sharing these and I had fully intended to do so before now... but well... I haven't. I made loads more than this but they're all variations on a theme. They're not so much back to school as first day of school.

So here we are. A boy version (for my wee 'nephew' Callum) and a girl version I made for my friend to give someone but as the card was for her starting the same school as Scott I am sharing that one.

Wednesday Woes

Morning.

I've started my annual clear out of my folder early this year as I always end up abandoning the idea! Or maybe I'm just late for spring cleaning.

Sorry about the quality of today's photo.  This is a card I made ages* ago as a thank you to some of the gentlemen in our church who did some work for the Anchor Boys and the officer in charge wanted to send them a wee thank you card. I've made the boy look like he's wearing his BB polo shirt and his grey school shorts. He's also sporting a red cap as the Anchor Boys Boys wear red sweatshirts.

*last year I think

A Sloth of Bears

Morning!

Yeah, I didn't know that either. The collective noun for a group of bears is a sleuth or a sloth... so a sleuth of bears a whole group of wee detective bears wearing deerstalkers and smoking pipes..... Sorry, I took that too far.

So that leads me neatly on to today's card (well, some months ago's card). A friend asked me to make a card for her Dad's 60th. I think I've already shared the one from the kids but this is the one from her.

I broke out the Penny Black bears again cos they're just great for putting messages on cards and not having to faff about matching papers and stuff.

No. I had to buy this one too :) Dorothy Is A Dreamer.  I used this for a birthday card for my friend's daughter a couple of weeks ago, I love this image.
