Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Hello.

This week's theme at Sweet Stampin'  is Easter! I'm not good on all these soft colours if I'm honest so this is always a challenge for me.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Morning all, it's Saturday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'. And it's not just any old challenge this week.  Oh no, it's our 9th birthday! 9? Can you believe it.

This week our theme is

Sparkle, Glitz, Shine and Glitter

So as much glitter as you can possibly shake a stick at!

It's also a sad day on Sweet Stampin' as it it's our lovely Abi's last day.  She's decided to hand over her bosses cap and is leaving me and Wends in charge.  They're awfully big boots to fill and I hope that we manage to, in some way, fill the humungous chasm she's leaving by going.

So anyway, without further ado, here's my card.  I've got to tell you, this was made in about 20 minutes during my lunchbreak yesterday.  And she's made from leftovers.  Poor wee abandoned, unloved fairy.  But what do you know, sometimes the cards you spend the least amount of time on become your favourites.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Morning all, it's Saturday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'.

This week our theme is

Sports

Now I like watching most sports (apart from synchronised swimming, not keen on that), not so great at the taking part but in this house both boys are involved in sport so I've gone for two cards featuring their sport of choice.  With Scott it's football (although to be fair, he'll have a go at most things) and this is is birthday card from back in June.

Oliver Football - LotV
Copics
Circles - Spellbinders

And with Craig it's bowls.  This isn't Craig's card (and it's not a great photo, it's a work birthday card) and this week Craig got to the finals of his bowling club junior championship.

Bowls - Just Inklined
Copics
Chalks
Happy/Birthday - Lisa Horton Creative Expressions

So this happened this week - the boys are back at school after 7 weeks holidays.  This is the last first day at school card where they will both be in it.  And just yesterday Craig was appointed Vice Captain of the school! Definitely a proud mum.

Back shortly with Time for Tea card.

No. I had to buy this one too :) Dorothy Is A Dreamer.  I used this for a birthday card for my friend's daughter a couple of weeks ago, I love this image.

Rushing In....

Morning!

Just a quick post as the boys and I are getting ready to go away.

As you know Andy was away this weekend and I made the most of having some crafty time and made 4 cards. I know that's not a lot but when I go from one crafty night to the next having done nothing (not even unpacked my bags), it's really quite impressive!

Anyway, I used sketches for two of them, the challenges for which will close while we're away and I'm not sure if we'll have wifi so wanted to get them posted now.

These are both made using stamps I bought at the SECC in March and up till now have been unloved.... oops!

Banana

Hello!

We've been to see Minions tonight - hence the title of the post - nothing to do with the card I'm sharing.

I was going to keep sharing the Father's Day cards but I'm going to have a break of them for a couple of days.

I bought this Saturated Canary image on a trip in April to a garden centre - it was a bargain and it would have been rude not to!

I decided to make the background to echo a ladybug too! So I punched lots of black circles of varying sizes and used a corner punch too.

And here's my card. This is a card I made for a friend's daughter's birthday in February. I love this wee image - Wonderful Day she's called. And I felt that the image called for using some of my favourite Boho Chic papers.

Ready, Teddy, Bake.

Hello.

If you've been celebrating then I hope you've had a lovely Mother's Day. It's always a tinged with a bit of sadness for me, I hate that I don't have a Mum to celebrate with but I love that I have the boys around to be able to celebrate with me. Even if they insist on watching Spongebob Squarepants.  However, one of my gifts was Postman Pat The Movie DVD so I'm looking forward to watching it after dinner (would have watched this afternoon but Scott is at rugby!) And yes, I really do like Postman Pat!

I have to share this with you, Craig baked a cake to sell at church for Comic Relief. He made £60.92! Isn't that incredible? So proud of him.

So, to today's card. Which, to be honest, is a bit of a disaster. I really loved it until I took it to work to deliver it to the girl who had ordered it. Then I noticed the mistake. Honestly, I could have wept. She (and nobody else at work) noticed, but I did and had I had enough time I would have taken it home and done it again.
