Looking Back at 2014

Morning! On the last morning of 2014. I've scheduled this post as I'm bound to be cleaning the house in time for the New Year, just as my mother would have done...... yeah, you're right, I'm probably drinking tea and reading my book!

However, it seemed a good time to have a look back at some favourite cards this year.

Sassy Cheryl - Figure of Eight. A break from traditional Christmas colours and a step out of my comfort zone ;)

Little Miss Muffett - Bubbles Chester. What's not to love?!

Funky Kits - Texting. Still makes me laugh - texts from the dog!!

Made for Craft World using Taylored Expressions dies, I love the simplicity of this card.

Mo Manning - Valerie in Autumn and Valerie in Winter. Now all I need is for Mo to design a Spring and Summer Valerie and for Inkylicious to have Spring and Summer sentiments!

Anna Marie Designs - This Way For Christmas. One of the last cards I made this year but a favourite none the less.

And lastly my favourite Tiddly Inks couple combined with some other TI images to make a card for a couple who were getting married in Edinburgh Zoo!

Thanks for dropping by today. I hope you enjoyed looking at the cards. I had fun picking them, and I could have picked more, it tends to be the card that I worked on last is my favourite so it was interesting to look back through the whole year.

Thank you for all your support, encouragement and lovely comments during this past year. Hope to see you again in 2015! Have a good one.

Clearing Up

Well, I was trying to but have been distracted, firstly by Bedknobs and Broomsticks and now by Wallace and Gromit.

However, I have decided to clear out all of the Christmas cards I made but didn't share yet

This first one is using the Visible Image Christmas Eve stamp which Craig asked me to buy when Helen and Mark from Visible Image were at Craftworld earlier in the year.

This is a card I was asked to make for a baby's first Christmas. Love this wee Little Miss Muffett stamp and I debated about buying him earlier in the year as I couldn't think of enough uses, and then I had a baby card to make and I decided to also use him for Christmas (and out comes the white babygro again!!) The star although you can't see it properly is coloured with a clear Wink of Stella.

This next card was a bit of an experiment as I wanted to use some new dies I'd got at the SECC. The snowy background is actually snowy acetate but I think it looks good!

And this last card is using a Di's Digi image called Birthday Bertie, which I originally bought to make a birthday card (surprise that eh?) but eventually used another idea for that... which I might share tomorrow.

Thanks for dropping by today. We're off to the panto tonight! Oh yes we are :D

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Morning all, it's Saturday (I think) and that means it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'.

This week our theme is an easy one for our last of the year....

Anything Goes

Our sponsor this week are Crafty Devils who are offering a £10 voucher to the winner.

And here's my card. And it's not a Christmas card!! This is one I was asked to make towards the end of the year. I love this LotV baby stamp and use it quite a lot - can be coloured, left in a white babygro or paper pieced. In this case I've left him in white as I think a baby dressed in a white babygro is such a beautiful thing!

This Way For Christmas

Hello.

Well, only 3 sleeps to go.... are you ready? I'm not! But I'm not going to stress

What a weekend. We had my work night out on Saturday and we were staying over at the hotel so the boys were being looked after by a friend. Unfortunately we got a call on Sunday morning to say that Scott had been up sick all night :( He seems to be on the mend now thankfully so hopefully he'll be ok for Thursday.

The same friends that were looking after the boys were hosting Christmas for us and my friend's family so sadly Andy had to come home with Scott but the rest of us all enjoyed a fantastic time.

So, to today's card. I bought this fabulous stamp from Anna Maria at the SECC in October and put it away and forgot about it but when I was looking for something else the other night I found it and made this card. I love kraft and white together.

Moving Along With The Times Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Moving Along With the Times.

This week our theme is the sketch below. This is our last challenge until 8th January so you have plenty time to enter!

Here's my take on the sketch - I've altered it slightly because I've put the two corner elements on top! I'm sure the Boss won't mind - it's Christmas, she might not even notice ;)

This is a card I made for a friend's daughters to take to their cousin's Frozen themed birthday party! I hope the birthday girl liked it.

Golden Years

Hello from a wet and miserable Glasgow. Oh, sorry, cold, wet and miserable Glasgow!

A few weeks ago I was asked to make a couple of Golden Wedding anniversary cards for a couple who were having a party to celebrate although the actual date wasn't until yesterday so here I am sharing these cards with you today.

The second is a variation on what I've done before but I used a corner nestie for this first one and I think it looks really effective - although if I'm honest it was a complete pain trying to get the little bits out of the die (oh she of little patience!)

 Thanks for dropping by today.

Moving Along With The Times Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Moving Along With the Times.

This week our theme, chosen by our lovely Red, is

Christmas Climate (so if you're in a cold country for Christmas then a snowy, wintery card and if you're in a warm country then Santa on the beach!)

I've used a Digi Stamp Boutique image which I bought after visiting one of my lovely bloggy friends Sue's blog. She's good at making me buy images, cos I see the beautiful cards she's made and I want the image! The bear reminds me of Scott's teddy bear so this might be a card for him (Scott, not the bear).
