Looking Back at 2014

Morning! On the last morning of 2014. I've scheduled this post as I'm bound to be cleaning the house in time for the New Year, just as my mother would have done...... yeah, you're right, I'm probably drinking tea and reading my book!

However, it seemed a good time to have a look back at some favourite cards this year.

Sassy Cheryl - Figure of Eight. A break from traditional Christmas colours and a step out of my comfort zone ;)

Little Miss Muffett - Bubbles Chester. What's not to love?!

Funky Kits - Texting. Still makes me laugh - texts from the dog!!

Made for Craft World using Taylored Expressions dies, I love the simplicity of this card.

Mo Manning - Valerie in Autumn and Valerie in Winter. Now all I need is for Mo to design a Spring and Summer Valerie and for Inkylicious to have Spring and Summer sentiments!

Anna Marie Designs - This Way For Christmas. One of the last cards I made this year but a favourite none the less.

And lastly my favourite Tiddly Inks couple combined with some other TI images to make a card for a couple who were getting married in Edinburgh Zoo!

Thanks for dropping by today. I hope you enjoyed looking at the cards. I had fun picking them, and I could have picked more, it tends to be the card that I worked on last is my favourite so it was interesting to look back through the whole year.

Thank you for all your support, encouragement and lovely comments during this past year. Hope to see you again in 2015! Have a good one.

Clearing Up

Well, I was trying to but have been distracted, firstly by Bedknobs and Broomsticks and now by Wallace and Gromit.

However, I have decided to clear out all of the Christmas cards I made but didn't share yet

This first one is using the Visible Image Christmas Eve stamp which Craig asked me to buy when Helen and Mark from Visible Image were at Craftworld earlier in the year.

This is a card I was asked to make for a baby's first Christmas. Love this wee Little Miss Muffett stamp and I debated about buying him earlier in the year as I couldn't think of enough uses, and then I had a baby card to make and I decided to also use him for Christmas (and out comes the white babygro again!!) The star although you can't see it properly is coloured with a clear Wink of Stella.

This next card was a bit of an experiment as I wanted to use some new dies I'd got at the SECC. The snowy background is actually snowy acetate but I think it looks good!

And this last card is using a Di's Digi image called Birthday Bertie, which I originally bought to make a birthday card (surprise that eh?) but eventually used another idea for that... which I might share tomorrow.

Thanks for dropping by today. We're off to the panto tonight! Oh yes we are :D

Splat!

Hello!

Thought I'd pop by this evening - I'm not at the Crafty Cabin tonight as I had a meeting to go to so I actually went yesterday afternoon. Got loads done (still loads to do though before we go away on Monday). Have I mentioned we're off to Blackpool on Monday for half term?! Looking forward to it.

This is one of the cards I made for Scott's friend - this one is from her Mum and Dad. I showed Lynne the image and she thought it was perfect for Eve! Two of Eve's favourite colours are yellow and green so that's what I went with and when I was putting the 8 on the card I thought that the flower punch looked like a big splat and as she's aiming at something.....
