Well, it's Friday (and it is as I write this to schedule it for the morning) and it's time for a new challenge at Totally Papercrafts. This week we're sponsored by The Ribbon Girl who are offering a gorgeous prize to the winner - hop over to Totally Papercrafts to see it!
This week Anne has chosen the theme and it is All Buttoned Up, so let's see those buttons on your cards :)
I decided this week to go for a bit of change and instead of a Sugar Nellie or Saturated Canary image I've gone for this sweet Penny Black hedgehog image! Now, I was going to do this as a card for my Dad (which I know is very stupid) as the image reminded me of him. He used to sit with the Herald crossword and if he was unable to complete it he would just stick in random letters so it looked finished. It annoyed the hell out of my Mum but it makes me laugh to think of it now. However, at lunchtime today, I was reading a chapter of Sue Johnson's book "Things I Couldn't Tell My Mother" and she described losing her Dad. It made me cry so I decided that I would just make an ordinary card instead.
Challenges I'd like to enter:
Penny Black - Spots and Stripes
Sunday Sketch and Stamp - Sketch
Pollycraft - Cute Critters
Oldie But A Goodie - On The Farm or in the Garden (not sure you see many hedgehogs doing crosswords in the garden but never mind) Everything about this card has been in my stash for more than 6 months! Isn't that shocking, so many nice things that have never been used!
Papertake - A Stitch In Time (been experimenting with the doodling again)
Tuesday Throwdown - Recycling (nothing new in this card!)
Lisa's Waste Not Wednesdays - everything in this card had long since been forgotten about!
No new products were harmed in the making of this card! Use It Up 2012.
Image - PB, coloured with Promarkers and Flex Markers, Sentiment WMS
Cardstock/Paper - From stash
Embellishments - buttons and twine from stash
Please pop over to the Totally Papercrafts blog to check out the inspiration the rest of the DT have left you for All Buttoned Up, I know you're going to be inspired :)
Thanks for dropping by today. Have a great Friday.
Hugs.
