A Clean and Simple House

Oh how I wish mine was. We've finished decorating the hall now but stuff still needs put away and we're rapidly running out of hours!!

Made this requested card a couple of months ago and I wanted to do something a little different so I went Kraft and CAS (ish). The corrugated bit of card is recycled packaging!

Golden Years

Morning all. Hope this finds you well!

Today I'm sharing a couple of Golden Wedding anniversary cards I was asked to make.

The first is similar to one I have done before but for the second one I broke out the Cricut for the first time in a long time! Why do I not use it more often?! I really must - and the only reason I used it was because I couldn't find the Sizzix die I wanted to use. I really should have a tidy of all my craft stuff and then I could see what I haven't used for ages - perhaps that should be a New Year's resolution?

Thanks for dropping by today.

Love to Create Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Love to Create

This week our theme is

White on White With a Splash of Green

Our sponsors this week are Sassy Studio and Fresh Brewed Designs.

I've used a Sassy Studio for my card - Martini Pin Up and I've cropped her so it's just her head and teamed her with the Ladybug Crafts Martini Nikki sentiment! I've given her green pearls to look like the olives - I think they look ok!

Tomfoolery

Now isn't that a word we don't use enough. It's like flibbertygibbit and nincompoop. (I have no idea if any of them are spelt correctly!). I was having a discussion with a friend over what title to use and these words just popped in to my head but I didn't want to offend anyone by using either flibbertygibbit or nincompoop as a title). So what are your words that you really like but we don't use enough of?

Well the preparations have taken a turn for the better - I watched Nigella's Christmas this afternoon.... got a few ideas.... so still not really any further forward but I can imagine that I am.....

A wee baby boy card to share today - and I can't even remember who I made it for but the little boy was born on 20th October! I do love this little stamp. Perfect for baby cards and I had plans to use him for a Baby's First Christmas card but have now changed my mind. Maybe. I'm so indecisive!

Don't Panic.... Much.

Morning!

So how organised for Christmas are you? Me, I'm not at all. And time is marching now and I'm starting to panic slightly* :/

*a lot.

So to take my mind off Christmas I'm sharing a birthday card that I was asked to make in April of this year *coughs* yeah, I know but I always had other things to show!

I've used the Penny Black Hedgie who's clearly doing a bit of gardening - this is actually quite a long stamp but rather than have them all in a row I decided to cut each individual image out. I think I might use it again soon in a DL card. I've just had an idea.....

Totally Papercrafts Challenge

Morning all, it's Friday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Totally Papercrafts

This week it's my turn to set the challenge and I have chosen the theme

Anything Christmassy but a Card

We're sponsored this week by Alota Rubber Stamps and Doodle Dragon Studios.

I've made a decoration - it came from a kit that I bought years ago and I discovered it when I was looking for something else. There are three on the page and can be used as photo ornaments. Each decoration consists of 6 3"x3" squares which are scored diagonally across each corner. It's just a case of putting tape on them, sticking a bit of ribbon through the one for the top and you're done. Now if that's *that* simple, why did I not do it before now?!

You never know at this rate I might get those beaded snowflakes made. Sometime before Christmas 2015.

 Thanks for dropping by today.

Remember to drop by Totally Papercrafts and see what the rest of my lovely Teamies have been up to! And this is a very sad post for me as it's my last with Totally Papercrafts. I've had an absolute blast while I've been there and made some fabulous friends but the time is right to go now.

Travel Light

Morning - isn't time moving quickly.... it's the 4th December already. 3 weeks and it will be Christmas Eve!!

Andy is off this week so we've done a bit of Christmas shopping and we're doing some housey stuff at the end of the week. Hopefully that means that we'll get the tree up at the end of it all!

I forgot to mention that Snowy the Elf has made a return trip to our house and so far he has fought off a dalek with a sonic screwdriver, played with Craig's clarinet and EATEN MY ADVENT CALENDAR. I am not happy about the last one and I think I'll need to be having words with Santa.

On to today's card - my friend asked me to make a card for her friend who was going off to America to stay so Travel Light seemed like the best option!

Our sponsor this week is The Stamping Chef.

I've used Lost Fairy for my card and I printed her quite small. I used the Tatty Buttons toadstool stamp which I masked so that I had a wee gathering of 'shrooms. I had originally intended this to be a new home card but changed my mind at the last minute!
