Wet and Windy Wednesday

Morning all.

Not a terribly great photo this morning - think it was probably too bright when I took the photo... yeah, I know too bright eh!?

This is almost the same card as I made before but I was asked to do another one with purple hair and to get Black Veil Brides somewhere on it...

I did have a few ideas but then I got the flu so the card became a little simpler than I had anticipated.

One of the gifts that Santa brought me for Christmas was the Dienamics Masculine TShirt Die and Sentiment set so it was perfect to get BVB on, which I printed off on the computer and then lined up to cut the t shirt out with. On reflection perhaps the female t shirt would have been better but never mind. One to add to the list (as long as I can buy it by itself as I'm not so sure I'd ever use the female sentiments!)

Anyway, the birthday girl liked it so that's all that matters :)

Love to Create Challenge

Morning all, Monday again. Doesn't that come round quick? AND we're nearly at the end of January, goodness, it'll be Christmas before we know it ;)

It's time for a new challenge at Love to Create and this week our theme is

Anything Goes With A Sentiment

So an easy one this week but remember your sentiment.

We're sponsored this week by Stamp Fairy who were kind enough to give the DT some images to play with.

I've used Mimi and Teddy for my card as I thought she was very sweet and I had the perfect sentiment stamp to go with her. Unfortunately when I went to make the card, I couldn't find the sentiment stamp! It's an old Penny Black stamp which says "How Do You Wrap A Hug". However I went looking through my stash and found this sentiment from a set of Docrafts stamps with Wellington Bear and thought it was even more perfect.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

A very good morning to you all. So yesterday we saw some snow here... combined with rain right enough!

It's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' and this week our theme is

Ribbons

And you know me, I do like to be that little bit different so I decided not to go down the girly route but to go for a boy card instead! I've had this Simply Betty image printed off for ages but he's been lying in a box unloved and I came across him when I was looking for something else and decided to go with him, just to show that you can use ribbon on a boy card!

We're sponsored this week by Crafty Ribbons and our monthly sponsor is the Ribbon Girl who are offering a £10 voucher to the monthly winner.

Oh, and Strictly.... One word, three syllables FAB-U-LOUS!! Denise and James won beating Louis and Ola into second place. I'm not sure how many of their votes came from James being bare chested and wearing a kilt for their fabulous Charleston ;)

Remember to pop by the Sweet Stampin' blog to see the rest of the ribbony inspiration the Sweeties have left for you and perhaps even join in. You must have ribbon lurking about in your stash.... but don't forget to stamp!

I will be back shortly with my One Stop DT card.

A Spot of Clearing Up

No, not in the house - on the desktop of the laptop. And I discovered some cards that I haven't shared yet!

I was asked for a christening card and was stuck for an image until Cass discovered that she had one of the LOTV squares with the little baby in his/her christening robe!

I even cut the card into the shape of a church window. Clever eh?!

Totally Papercrafts Challenge

Morning all. It's time for a new challenge at Totally Papercrafts and this time it's the turn of the lovely Sue to set the theme and she has chosen

Let's Dance

No card from me today though as this week it's Team B's turn to provide your inspiration.

When I saw the theme I thought that I'd never have been able to do a card for this but it's easier than you think and I might actually have a go ;) (not sure why I was trying to make it more complicated than it actually is). Have a look at the blog to see the inspiration from Team B and you'll see what I mean.

So, couples dancing, ballet dancers, morris dancers.... let's see those dancing cards.

Might be back later with a card.

Hugs.

Christmas at Sweet Stampin' Mid Month Inspiration

Morning all - we're half way through our first challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' and myself and some of the rest of the DT are bringing you some mid month inspiration for the challenge.

Just a wee reminder - the theme this month is

Cold and Frosty

and no, it's still not frosty or snowy here, cold yes but nothing else!

We're sponsored by My Mum's Craft Shop who are giving the winner a £10 voucher to spend in store... now I don't know about you but I could certainly spend it ;)

And here's my card. I've used a couple of stamps for this. I used the Penny Black Snowy and Hedgie stamp which I masked and then used my Inkylicious Tree stamp. You can't actually see from the photo but I did use Glamour Dust on the trees and round about the snowman and hedgehog.

After I'd finished the card I noticed what sentiment I had used.... Warm Winter Wishes.... for a cold and frosty challenge..... Never mind, I'm sure no one will notice and everything else about the card suggests cold and frosty!

Bling it Up

So go wild with your bling! We want to see it. We also have a Facebook group and if you want to join us over there too we'd love to see you.

We're sponsored this time by Dustin Pike.

My card is actually one that I made last year but hadn't got round to sharing and when I saw this week's challenge I decided it would be perfect for this occasion.

I actually made the "blingy" 18 by cutting out the numbers using the Sizzix Boss O numbers and sticking on some bling that I got from That Craft Place. I was quite pleased with it!

Love to Create Challenge

Morning all, how are things where you are? Still snowy? As I write this we have still escaped the snow.... but having lived in Scotland my whole life I know that one day when the rest of the country is basking in glorious sunshine the snow will arrive!

It's time for a new challenge over at Love to Create. Unfortunately I missed a couple of challenges while I was ill but the girls were very lovely and very understanding. Love ya!

So what's the challenge theme this week... Well, it's

We're sponsored this week by Di's Digi Downloads and Stamped Art by Kathryne.

Now when I started thinking about this card I actually thought blue would feature but it hasn't oddly enough I've gone for Red, White and Kraft. Maybe if I made another card these wouldn't be my 3 favourites but they were at the time when I made this one :)

One Stop Craft Challenge

Morning all - I hope if it's been snowing where you are that it's not too painful for you ;) For me snow is fine as long as it's on a Christmas card so fingers crossed it stays that way here.

It's time for a new challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge and this week our theme is

Thank You

And here is my card. I've kept it very simple - although I did go through a lot of permutations of what I could do in my head it ended up being a very simple card.

Totally Papercrafts Challenge

Well hello there....

It's been a while hasn't it. Would love to say that I'm completely fighting fit but I'm not. Seems to be a long slow process but I think I'm getting there.

It's time for a new challenge over at Totally Papercrafts and this time it's the turn of our lovely Carol to choose the theme. (but before I tell you what it is - just in case you haven't been over to Totally Papercrafts this year we've split into two teams so I'll only be posting a card once a fortnight although I will still tell you what the theme is!)

This week our theme is

Embossing of Any Kind

And I took the easy way out... ish and used an embossing folder! If I had been feeling a little more like crafting I might have broken out the heat gun and some embossing powders!

So for the first card I have made in 2013 it's ****. You can blame Cathy for that who having made a **** card herself challenged me to to do the same!

I've used one of the new Vintage Adorables from Sugar Nellies, lovely Alicia - isn't she just gorgeous - and I've gone for quite a simple card. Break myself in gently...

I just wanted to check in and let you know that I appear to still be alive but have been laid very low with the flu.

Hopefully back to normal very soon. I miss you!
