Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Morning all, it's Saturday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'.

This week our theme is

Pirates/Nautical Theme

I thought I'd go for something a little different today and go for a piratey Christmas card. I'm not sure why I made them sandmen rather than snowmen but I like it!

More Stars!

Morning.

I mentioned yesterday that I'd had a moment of indecision with my CASS card.  I decided that, the stars on my nativity scene weren't prominent enough so I made another card! Then when I went to post it the lovely Tracey had also posted a card using kraft and stars so I asked Craig and he told me to go with the nativity card as he liked it better!

Anyway, the genius that is Abi counted the stars and actually there are more on my CASS DT card than there are on this.

Sometimes You Need a Little Push

Afternoon all.

Something a little different today - I recently (reluctantly) took part in an ATC swap over at That Craft Place. I say reluctantly cos I wasn't going to sign up to take part but my friend put my name forward as she was organising it. I was a bit worried though as I thought there's no way I'd be able to do one. And look, I actually did two! (the second one, truth be told was as a swap for one that Lorraine had already sent me!)

You'll note they're both completely different and although I like that I'd actually quite like to try a series of similar ones. Maybe. So actually I think I'm quite glad that I was volunteered for this challenge as I would have shied away from it otherwise.

Trees!

Morning.

Another couple of quick cards to share today - and by quick I really do mean quick!

This first one is just the Memory Box Tree die cut with gems added and a sentiment stamped. The most time consuming bit was freeing the die cut from the card! (don't die cut intricate dies using the thickest Diamond White cardstock!!)

This second card is even simpler. I've used the Inkylicious trees and teamed it with Santa from the Night Before Christmas set. Added some glamour dust for that added sparkle and we're done.

Love to Create Challenge

Morning all, a very good Monday morning to you. Can you believe we're in Mid November already?! Where does the time go?

Well, it's time for a new challenge at Love to Create and in honour of our American friends the challenge this week is

Give Thanks

We're sponsored this week by Robyn's Fetish who gave the DT some images to play with.

This was a little out of my comfort zone - I've never made a Thanksgiving card and I've never coloured in fruit for a card before - there's usually a person involved in the image..... Never mind, that's why it's a challenge eh?

I've even done a spot of paper piecing on this card so I'd get a kinda wooden fruit bowl effect. I'm quite pleased with it.
