This Is Not The Card You Are Looking For

Hello.

Well, it's been a wet start to the school holidays here in Scotland, think it's been raining since the kids stopped at 1pm on Friday!

Just trying to clear out my folder of cards, so I thought before I moved on to the end of term stuff I'd finish Father's Day although I have another card to go after this.

This is the second of the two cards I made for a friend.

Just An Old Trout

Hello.

Well, the peace and quiet has been shattered with the arrival of Scott back from camp. He had a fabulous time down in Bewdley and that's thanks in no small part to the officers of the BB who all use a week's annual leave to take the boys away to camp. I guess it's testament to how much they enjoy it that the officers are prepared to do it every year.

So to today's card. Now as you know I am not a huge fan of the film Frozen. In fact, it's up there with some of the worst films I've ever seen but I was asked to make a card for my friend's niece who's having her party today - apparently everything is Frozen themed for the birthday girl today.  I showed the photo of the half done card to one of my friend who said "I'd recognise that old trout from Frozen anywhere" (she's also not a fan!) so here we are, a card featuring an old trout!

Moving Along With The Times Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Moving Along With the Times.

This week our theme is the sketch below. This is our last challenge until 8th January so you have plenty time to enter!

Here's my take on the sketch - I've altered it slightly because I've put the two corner elements on top! I'm sure the Boss won't mind - it's Christmas, she might not even notice ;)

This is a card I made for a friend's daughters to take to their cousin's Frozen themed birthday party! I hope the birthday girl liked it.

Love to Create Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Love to Create

This week our theme is

Say it With Flowers

Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs.

I've used Latte Momma for my card which I cropped down, I've used some Barenaked lyrics as the sentiment and the flowers are punched from brown wrapping paper - saw a packet of kraft flowers in Poundland through the week but decided not to buy them and then I found a roll of brown wrapping paper in the cupboard I thought it would be good to use instead! And cheaper ;)

Bath-Time

Morning all.

Today I'm sharing a card I was asked to make for a friend's friend's 40th birthday. I was given a brief and one of the things was that she liked baths so I decided to use Bubble Bath Sassy. If only so I could get lots of Stickles on to make them look like bubbles.  I also got to use my favourite Stampin' Up paper.... still got that unopened pack you know ;)

Love to Create Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Love to Create

This week our theme is

White on White With a Splash of Green

Our sponsors this week are Sassy Studio and Fresh Brewed Designs.

I've used a Sassy Studio for my card - Martini Pin Up and I've cropped her so it's just her head and teamed her with the Ladybug Crafts Martini Nikki sentiment! I've given her green pearls to look like the olives - I think they look ok!

Love to Create Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Love to Create

This week our theme is this colour challenge

Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio.

Now I had a bit of a creative meltdown with the first card I made using a different image. It was terrible and got ripped up and thrown in the bin in a terrible temper.

So this is my second attempt which I am *slightly* happier with. I've used Elizabeth Bennett but have tried not to make her look like Lizzie Bennett and tried rather to go for a kitschy look for her.

Love to Create Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Love to Create

This week our theme is

Flowers, Flowers and More Flowers

Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio.

I've gone for something a little different today... I decided to go with the Wicked Witch and give her black and green flowers cos I didn't want to do just a pretty card with lots of flowers.  She's very much been created with scraps from the scrap box too, poor little witch!

I stamped round the edge of the witch with a grungy flourish from a Tim Holtz set of stamps that I think I have used once before. I know. Shocking eh?!

Love To Create Challenge

Morning all, the start of a new week and we're almost midway through March... it will be you know what before we know it ;)

It's time for a new challenge at Love to Create

This week our theme is

Lavender and Lace

Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio who gave the DT some images to play with.

I have to be honest, I struggled a bit with this. You'll know delicate and pretty isn't really my thing and I'm still not sure about this but never mind.

I decided to make a tag this time rather than a card - just to be a wee bit different and to keep you on your toes.

I inked round the edges of the tag (Inkylicious) with some Milled Lavender Distress Ink and also used the same DI on the cream doiley. I also stamped a script stamp on the DP using the ink and then I chucked some pearls at it.... sorry, Cathy, placed carefully.... and voila!

Love To Create Challenge

Morning all, it's time for a new challenge at Love to Create and this week our challenge is really easy *coughs*

Anything Goes

We're sponsored by Sassy Studio and Beccy's Place. I've used a Sassy Studio image for my card.

Now be warned. I hate this card. No really, I do. It's horrible. When I chose the image I thought Tinkerbell and Anything Goes... piece of cake. Nope, couldn't be more wrong. So we'll just gloss over it and move on.

Love to Create Challenge

Morning all it's time for a new challenge at Love to Create and this week we'd like to see

Fancy Edges

We're sponsored this week by Sassy Studio
and The Digi Garden
so you'll see a wee variety of images used on the blog this morning.

For my card I've used Elizabeth Bennett from Sassy Studio and I tried very hard to stick to a kind of Pride and Prejudice type theme. I even tried Googling Pride and Prejudice quotes to put on the card but everything was too long and then when I was having a look for something else I came across my Creative Elements Stampin Up set with the sentiment "Treat yourself like your own best company" and I thought that might be the kind of thing that Lizzie might have said. Yeah, I know, I'm looking too deeply into this....

Challenges I'd Like to Enter
Papertake - Anything Goes
CRAFT - Inspired by A Film (Pride and Prejudice)

Simply Create Too - Use Your Stash (the Ella Blue paper was half a sheet of 12x12 which has been lying in the scrap box for ages!)

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Hello! This week's theme for Sweet Stampin'   is Stripes or Chevrons which I think I've interpreted in the loosest possible sens...
