The Last Christmas Cards!

Morning, it's Hogmanay! Woohoo. 2014 here we come!

I think these are the last Christmas cards I have to share with you today. 

This is a card I was asked to do for a friend's God-daughter. I've used a Hobby House topper of a Mo Manning stamp. I do love this image, I think I might need to buy it for next year's cards!

This second card was a card I made for a friend for her husband. Love to Create Challenge

Morning all.

Hope you had a good weekend and that wherever you are the sun came out!

It's time for a new challenge at Love to Create

This week our theme is

Paper Piecing

Our sponsors this week are The Stamping Chef and Di's Digi Downloads.  Tamara over at TSC was kind enough to give us some images to play with and I chose Lost Fairy for mine.

So I printed off the image and then I printed her again on the DP but I decided I didn't like her. Cass told me she'd look better once I'd coloured her so at the Cabin on Thursday I coloured her hair but still wasn't sure. So Cass suggested I use gold gilding flakes on her wings... was even less sure once I'd done that. On Friday I looked at her again and coloured her in and cut her out but still not overly sure. Then I had a brainwave.. (you can almost see the light bulb coming on can't you) and decide to make a tag using some Inkylicious stamps and DI's... and do you know what...... I really like her now!

The Stamping Chef Saturday Spotlight

Morning all and welcome to my new followers too :) 

Wow, look at me in the spotlight, not sure it's somewhere I've ever been before but the lovely Jackie asked me if I'd like to be in the spotlight at The Stamping Chef today and I was delighted to say yes.

Now I had a couple of Stamping Chef images I could use but I was asked by a friend to make a card for two of her friends who were getting married - and the brief I was given was that they were a bit quirky and they had tattoos so I asked in one of the groups I'm in on Facebook if anyone had any ideas what digi images I could use. Tamara from the Stamping Chef came up trumps and pointed me in the direction of this image which I have to say was pretty near perfect!

And then later on Tamara messaged me and asked when I needed the card for the ladies for and said she had an idea for something and would try and get it to me. And she created an image especially for Gillian and Louise - and I've used it for the card below! My friend was so happy with it as were the couple so our job is done! 

I wanted to keep a fairly simple card as there is so much in the digi image and maybe it's a little bit grungy for a wedding card but I think it suited the brief.
