A Year of Cards

Wow. I think I have made more than 175 cards this year. That is a lot! It's just a rough estimate so no going back through the blog just to check whether I'm right or not.

I thought I'd pick some of my favourites to look back on and as I look at them just now these are my favourites but that may change...

I hope you enjoyed my wee look through my cards. Thank you so much for being here in 2012, your love and support means more than you could ever know.

The only thing that remains for me to say is that I wish you a safe and peaceful new year. See you in 2013.

Oh Look, It's Them Again!

I have to say of all the digi images that I've bought I've used this one from Tiddly Inks more than any other. And yet, I'm not as fed up with them as I am with snowmen ;)

This is card I was asked to make for some folks who were celebrating their 21st Wedding Anniversary. I decided to give the lady a purple dress this time and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

One Stop Craft Challenge - Better late than never

Sorry, better late than never. This should have been posted yesterday but thanks to a bout of food poisoning I was laid up in bed all of yesterday so it didn't get done. Along with lots of other things that were on my to do list. So, now Christmas can't happen till about Thursday....

There's a new challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge and it's our last until 12th January so you've got some time to join in with this one.

This time our theme is

Inpsired by A Christmas Song

We're sponsored this week by Prairie Fairy.

Unfortunately I haven't managed to use a Prairie Fairy image as they arrived after I had packed up my craft stuff so we can use the dinner table. Not to worry though I still have a few cards to share before the end of 2012.

I've used this fab image from LOTV and I'm sure you can guess which song it was inspired by - Oh Christmas Tree.

Creative Craft Challenges

Morning all.

One week to go :)

So it's time now for the last Creative Craft Challenges challenge before Christmas.

This week our theme is

Non Traditional Christmas
(no reds or greens)

We're sponsored this week by Robyn's Fetish and Crafty Ribbons.

I thought I wasn't going to get a card done this week and unfortunately haven't managed to use one of the sponsor's images they were kind enough to send.  However, I was asked by one of the girls in the school office to make a purpley Christmas card for Mum and Dad with a sentiment that would make Mum cry...

I am off to deliver the card up to school. I'm in school today to help with the Santa draw. It's an annual highlight (for me, not the children).

Thanks for dropping by today. Remember to drop by Creative Craft Challenges to see the rest of the inspiration the DT have left for you and perhaps even enter with your Non Traditional Colour Christmas cards.

You Rock!

Morning.

Another busy day ahead trying to get organised before the boys stop next week and I don't get any time to get anything done!

Still got a few presents to buy and yes, I still have Christmas cards to make.... I really really should start.

However, it's not a Christmas card I have for you today. It's a birthday card I was asked to do for an Auntie... a rock chick Auntie.  And apparently I got it right, the Auntie in question has boots like these, has had purple hair and her husband plays the guitar....

Morning all, it's time for a new challenge at Creative Craft Challenges and just to keep you on your toes, this challenge is only a week long!

This week we want to see
whi
Humorous Cards

We're sponsored this week by Bugaboo.

This is my card for the challenge. I was asked to make a card and try and make using this particular image and colour the little boy's top so he would be wearing our rugby club colours. Now there aren't many Christmas papers that come in green, purple, gold and black... so I was kinda stuck until I hit on the idea of making him look like he was sitting at window. It's not the best picture in the world but it looked ok when I took it and I've now given the card to the friend who ordered it so there you go...

Love To Create Challenge

Morning all, it's time for a new challenge at Love to Create and this week our challenge is really easy *coughs*

Anything Goes

We're sponsored by Sassy Studio and Beccy's Place. I've used a Sassy Studio image for my card.

Now be warned. I hate this card. No really, I do. It's horrible. When I chose the image I thought Tinkerbell and Anything Goes... piece of cake. Nope, couldn't be more wrong. So we'll just gloss over it and move on.

Butterfly Baby

A few weeks ago I was asked to make a card for a couple who were celebrating the arrival of their newly adopted daughter.  This is what I came up with. I think that perhaps the babygro is a little on the too dark side of **** but that's what happens when you don't do that colour. You don't really have the available pens to colour it in!

Christmas at Sweet Stampin'

Well, it's finally here... the first challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' and it's a really easy one to get us started...

Anything Goes

(with a proviso... your creation has to be Christmassy) but what could be a simpler way of breaking us in gently before our first challenge in January.

We're sponsored this time by Funky Kits and the winner will receive some surprise stamps

and by Letraset who are offering the winner a set of Promarkers.

The new DT is announced today too so go and visit our blog and give them some love!

This is my card for the challenge.

I saw a stamp with "Don't Get Your Tinsel in a Tangle" at the SECC in October and thought it would be perfect for this stamp (Stroppy Cow as I like to call her), however, the stamp was £7.99 and I decided I wasn't paying that for it!

I think there's not "enough" on this card and that it actually lacks something but I'm not sure what it is.

Love to Create Challenge

Morning all. A very good morning to you. 3 weeks and it'll be Christmas Eve... *squeals*

It's time for a new challenge at Love to Create  and this week our challenge theme is

Holiday Cheer

We're sponsored this week by Bugaboo who gave the DT some images to play with.

This is my card... and I've also added the song which inspired this card. It's a song called Elf's Lament by Barenaked Ladies from one of our favourite albums called Barenaked For The Holidays.  The elf in the song is complaining that there's no union - they're only through when they outdo the competition... so I decided to give the Elf in the Pocket a sign and just in case you can't read the sentiment it says.

"There's a list for who's been naughty or nice but consider the price to an elf"

I had a lot of fun making this card, imagining the story behind it.... it's Rudolph hoping that he will be picked to pull Santa's sleigh - as you can see from all the reindeer names which I've put on little strips of card inside the die cut pocket... Well, I liked my wee story :)
