Crafty Sentiment Designs New Release Blog Hop

Hello again and welcome to the Crafty Sentiments New Release Blog Hop.

You should have come to me via the lovely Jac. And here is my card, this is Primrose the Mermaid. I've coloured her hair to look like Ariel and I even created a little fish to look like her little friend Flounder! You'll note the table decorations have made a reappearance, so useful for bubbles :)

There will be prize during the bloghop of a selection of the new stamps. However, to qualify for the prize you need to leave a comment on the 8th /9th /10th on the Inspirational blog and become a follower
You also have to visit and leave a comment on all participating blogs on the 10th, so grab yourself a cuppa and start hopping!

I've printed the whole blog hop list below just in case you get lost but I'm now going to hand you over to Celine who has another fabby project for you to see.

Crafty Sentiments Designs New Release Day 2

Morning all.

Welcome to the second day of peaks of the new stamps available from midnight (just a few hours to go) from Crafty Sentiments. I can hardly wait, I really need them all. Check out the Crafty Sentiments Inspiration blog for more details.

Today's image is called Summertime, isn't she just gorgeous? I'm saying Summertime with my tongue very firmly in my cheek cos I've got a horrible feeling that Tuesday was it... and it's back to winter again.

I've got to be honest, this is a bit of a Murphy's Law card - cos if it could go wrong with the card, it did... and I was stressing I wouldn't get it finished but there you go, I managed!

I've paper pieced her dress and just echoed the gingham with some ribbon and card candy. I think it looks vaguely summer like... maybe. I've forgotten what summer actually is.

Crafty Sentiments New Release Day 1 - part 2

Here I am again with another new release from Crafty Sentiments and remember if you go over to the Crafty Sentiments Inspiration blog you'll see another couple of the new releases.

This is Tobey and His Cat. You'll remember that we've had Tobey and His Dog, well, here he is again but this time with his feline friend.

Wanted to keep the card kind of summery looking and went through a lot of DP's before finding something I was happy with!

This became Scott's wee pal's birthday card as he has a little black cat too so the image was just perfect. I don't think it comes up particularly well on the photo but I did chalk some clouds in too.

Love to Create Challenge

Morning all.

Hope, if you're in the UK, you were able to enjoy a nice Bank Holiday lie in this morning.

It's time for a new challenge at Love to Create

This week our theme is

For Mum/Special Lady

Our sponsors this week are Stamp Art by Kathryn and Bugaboo. Both sponsors were kind enough to provide the DT with some images - I've used a Bugaboo image for mine Har Repotter.

Now those of you who know me and were here at Mother's Day in this country will know how traumatised I was at having to make a Mother's Day card then. Obviously Mother's Day in the US is at a different time, hence today's challenge.

When I saw Bugaboo were one of the sponsors I decided to get round this by choosing Har Repotter and making a card for me from the boys - you'd be surprised at the difference it made to me and the freedom I felt in creating the card because it's not actually going to go anywhere!

I ran my idea for making a card to look like a Spell Book past a couple of crafty friends and it was thanks to the lovely Anda that it became Mum's Book of Magic Tricks complete with Handy Hints to get children to eat veg. Once I had that idea it went from there, so I've also got a newspaper cutting (Stampin' Up paper), an old postcard (LOTV stamp) and a Friendship Recipe (LOTV stamp) simply because I remember things used to peek out of Mum's old recipe books!

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Morning all, it's Saturday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'.

This week our theme is

Create A Scene

Our sponsor this week is Cuddly Buddly who are offering a £10 voucher to the winner and our monthly sponsor is The Ribbon Girl who are offering a £10 voucher to the monthly winner.

And here is my card - which isn't what I had planned originally (you'll note that happens a lot!) but I might keep that idea for another day.

I came across the football pitch paper when I was looking for something else and the idea for this card was born! This little Hibs supporting boy (tried to make him look like Scott) is dreaming of scoring the winning goal in the upcoming Cup Final.

I couldn't find the correct shade of green ribbon for the cup so I ended up colouring white ribbon with a Promarker.

Angels Among Us

Morning all.

Goodness me, where has the week gone! It's been a busy one this week and I have neglected you and I'm sorry. I have been busy creating but sadly can't show you anything yet. Just wait for next week ;)

It was also the end of Anchor Boys the other night with our annual display and it was Scott's last night as he is now promoted to Junior Section *sniff*.  I'm very proud to tell you that he won the Best Overall Boy for the session - now although I'm an officer in the Anchor Boys this was a complete surprise and I'm not *quite* sure how I managed to hold back the tears but I did... no, really!

So to today's card. I made this for a friend who asked for a Big Sister card and this was my original card for That Craft Place challenge but there was something I wasn't happy with so I made another. I'm still not sure what I'm not happy with, it's a perfectly nice card but still!
