A Whole Year More Incredibler...

Well, a whole year and a month!

This was the birthday card I made for Cass for her birthday in August and I forgot I hadn't shared it! I used the sentiment from Bree Loves Buttercream to go with Petunia in this case - although I did try lots of combinations before I decided I was happy with a CAS look!

It's time for a new challenge over at the Sugar Bowl.

I've used Parachute Jump for my card this time. My friend did a sponsored parachute jump the day before her 40th birthday recently and we'd joked about how if things went wrong she'd still be in her 30's......so I took the joke and ran with it....

Cheeky!

Morning!

We've made it to Wednesday - on the home stretch to a holiday weekend (in Glasgow)

You Can't Go Wrong With a Wee Bit of Tartan

Morning.

Just a quick post this morning. I am determined to clear my cards to be shared this year! I've discovered a few cards which have been there for a long time and I keep passing over them to share something else. Yeah, you guessed it, they're pink..... (well, not all of them are)

This card isn't one of them! I was asked to make a wedding card, classy with a touch of tartan. I think I got the brief.

Swiss Dots Embossing Folder - Cuttlebug

How Flexible Are You?

Morning!

Yeah, I can't do Tuesdays.....

This is a card I made for a friend's daughter who's birthday it was at the end of last month. She's recently got in to the Glasgow gymnastic team so Gymnast Molly seemed like a good image to use! I was originally going to give her a purple leotard and had all the paper picked and everything. And then... for some reason I coloured it blue and couldn't find the right papers so she sat for a while till I found something I liked - had to look through every single bit of blue paper I had. It took a while ;)

Is It Only Tuesday? Really?

Hello!

What a long day. Headed straight from work to the opticians for the boys and I to get our eyes tested. Only got home about 8.30 so am only now feeling chilled.

This is the birthday card I made for Andy last week. I didn't want to add much to it so I just made the card with the image which I've paper pieced and coloured a wee bit ground for them to sit on and I also typed the sentiment straight on to the card too.

Play It Loud

Morning.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and are now ready to face another week.

This is a card I made recently and it's certainly the biggest card I've ever made (well, I made two A4 cards at the same time so the other one is still to come!). I have tried to grunge the background up a bit using some stamping in blue and black. Although it was quite daunting at first actually I got quite in to filling a big card!

Rainbows and Unicorns

Hello.

Just a quick post this evening (that has taken me hours to write)

This wee rainbow unicorn has been sitting in my sharing folder for ages as it's a card I made for my friend to give her daughter in July.

I kept the card quite simple as I wanted the unicorn to stand out so just an embossed panel behind the image and some card candy. I think I coloured the mane and tail with Wink of Stella pens and those that I didn't have the colours for were coloured with Copics and clear WoS.

An Appropriate Monday Card

Morning all.... are you feeling like this this morning.....

This wee girl makes me laugh so much I just love her. This is the birthday card I made for our lovely boss over at Sweet Stampin' Abi - the resident genius. Now I should explain that Abi and I had a very long text conversation about a caption for this card (some of which may see the light of day when I use her again) and for some reason the little girl became Mavis although she's actually called Sylvia in the Mo Manning shop. Somehow she never made on to a card before Abi's birthday so I took the opportunity to make her in to Abi's card!

Summer Has Arrived!

Hello.

Yes, I know it's September, but for the past two days the weather here has been beautiful. There are the sounds of folk working in their gardens and washing wafting in the breeze (ok, I made the last one up but you get the picture!) Is it time to break out the BBQ?!

Anyway, to today's card which I made for a friend recently who was awarded Woman of the Year at her local Slimming World group. She's done incredibly well with her weight loss and I am so proud of her.

I thought for ages about this card and looked for lots of images but none were quite right - don't try googling woman on scales - it's not great! Then I remembered about Serena With Her Sign. And I spied a stamp I bought a while ago but hadn't used. I masked of the right and left edges of Serena as as the stamp was fine lengthwise but was too wide. And voila. The perfect image!

This week our theme is

Our sponsor this week are Live and Love Crafts.

This card was actually a bit of an accident. When LotV had a sale recently I bought this wee image and wanted to try it out at the Crafty Cabin and a few bits and pieces later and lo and behold I had met the challenge brief without actually meaning to!

We've had a wee summer break and now we're back and it's time for a new challenge over at Moving Along With The Times.
