Another Day. Another Bear.

Hello.

How are you today? It's very dull here today which is so different from yesterday as it was a beautiful day yesterday.

Went to see Magnum last night with the lovely Cass. They were fabulous. Really good night!

So to today's card. Well, actually it was for an anniversary card at the start of April for my friend to give her husband. She likes a card with a bear on it and who am I to argue! This cutie Louie, from Digistamp Boutique came in the same set as the one I used with the banner. You know the **** one for Fee's God-daughter's birthday ;)

Hi Ho Silver

Morning all.

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend so far and that someone somewhere is enjoying nice weather ;)

Good luck today to all the folk doing the Kiltwalk! Got a couple of friends doing it so hoping they survive the 23 miles.

So this is a card I made for my friend to give her son. He was 13 yesterday and is in Craig's year at school so I figured that if this Mo Manning image of Paul Typing would be ideal for Craig then it would also be perfect for Cameron!

It was my Brother in Law's birthday on Sunday and I kind of forgot to make a card. However, this presented me with the opportunity to make a belated card.. so I meant it really ;)

The sentiment, which reads, Ted realised he'd have to check his diary on a more regular basis came courtesy of Abi during one of our conversations last week!

The Party's Over!

Morning all.

Well that's it, the Easter holidays are over, they've gone by in a flash but it won't be long until the next holiday - a couple of weeks and they'll be off for the first May holiday weekend!

So on to today's card. My friend asked me to make for her God-daughter's second birthday (I can't actually believe it's been a year since I made Isla's first birthday card!)

I found this fabulous set of bear stamps - will share one of the other two some time this week. This is Louie who is from the Louie Love Set from Digi Stamp Boutique and this one has a little heart banner.

I made this the night before my birthday and I took the opportunity of using a birthday present that Cass gave me -  a set of dies which included this little balloon and yes, the more observant of you will notice that I have actually doodled. Again! Fi will be so proud!

One of my friends recently asked me for some cards and this is the first I'm sharing with you. This is for a wee boy who is Curious George daft so I found this colouring page and printed it off. A big 4 (and mat) cut on the Cricut and the card was pretty much made.

Happily Ever After

Morning all.

I was having a bit of a play the other day with some stamps from Funky Kits and Visible Image. I decided to go for an aged look so I've just stamped the images and done a spot of highlighting with some DI. I wanted to make the couple look like they were walking towards the castle but I think I might have gone slightly too far to the right when I stamped the castle - I had masked off the couple just in case!

Day Dreaming

Morning all.

Hope you're enjoying some sunshine wherever you are, it's been really lovely here - makes a change to have some nice weather when the children are off!

So today's card is a birthday card I asked to make for a birthday which was yesterday, I know, and I'm sharing it already! I've noticed that in my wee folder of cards still to be blogged there are cards from last April so I think I need to share them a bit quicker than that!!

I've used the Crafty Sentiments Day Dreaming image. Isn't he fab, well, you know how much I like boy stamps.

Prove It Donkey.

Morning.

Well we're almost back to normal after the excitement of camp. We went swimming yesterday and then Craig was at his friends for the rest of the afternoon and Scott and his friend were out practising their football skills.  More importantly all the washing got dried as it was a lovely day here. Hopefully that will continue for the rest of the holiday!

Today's card is a birthday card I made for an order. I love Kraft and black together I think it's a great combination.

For this card I stamped the Visible Image large rose from the Immortal Love set all over the base cardstock and then used the Live Well sentiment for the main focus of the card.

Love to Create Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Love to Create

This week our theme is

Vintage Romance

Our sponsors this week are Tsunami Rose and Sami Stamps.

I've used a Sami Stamps image for my card - called With You.

I decided just to print on Kraft and highlight with Copics. I've used a wheel stamp to very lightly stamp a vintage background and then in a darker brown ink I've stamped the floral flourish round the edges. Rather than add flowers I cut some tall Chloe stems (my birthday present to me) and I've added a wee die cut bow from a die set that my lovely friend gave to me for my birthday!

And They're Back!

Morning!

Yep, the boys arrived home yesterday around 5 having had a fantastic time. And thanks must go to the officers in the BB who give up a week of their time to take the boys away.

Today's card is a wee birthday card I was asked to make for my friend's Mum - made this for the kids to give their Gran.  And look, it's James the Bear again, don't you just love him. Got some more James images I'll need to make in to cards very soon!

I've also made a very similar Good Luck one for my friend who was finishing off a unit at college which I had been her guinea pig for - stupidly I didn't take a photo of that one but it's very similar but doesn't say birthday wishes....

Keep Calm. Drink Wine. Or Martini

Morning all.

Well the peace will be shattered around dinner time tonight as the boys will be home 5ish. It's been very peaceful without them but I am looking forward to having them back!

So on to today's card. The head teacher of Scott's school has taken early retirement and her last day with the children was last Friday. As I'm on the Parent Council we decided that we'd have a wee collection for her and give her something at our last meeting which was on 31st March. Despite me knowing about this for ages it was the afternoon of 31st March I put this card together, it was all planned in my head but it took a while to move from my head to action!!

I decided that I'd paper piece her to save time. It didn't! I paper pieced the sofa, her blouse and her trousers, it seemed to take forever, although I'm sure it's all relative and it didn't really take that long.

Beautiful Belle

Morning all.

It was a lovely day here yesterday. The sun was shining and the washing was out on the line! Trying to get ahead with the laundry before the boys come back with bags full of dirty clothes!

So today's card is one I made the other day when I was crafting. Karen sent me some stamps recently and I discovered the envelope when I was looking for something else and decided to use some of them - other cards will follow soon.

This is Belle and I decided to paper piece her dress. And then, not content with that I decided to paper piece her hair band, her bows and her shoes! I wanted to make a fairly simple card and I just wanted a sentiment to go in the corner but nothing looked right and then I remembered about the Craft Stamper freebie.
