You can't really see it on the card but I used the Die-namics button die and cut a button which I then covered with glossy accents so I could add my baker's twine.

As for the box, it's still full of printed and uncoloured images... that's awful isn't it?!

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Morning all.  This is my first post of the day - check back later for my One Stop Craft Challenges Card.

Computer Nerd

There's a bit of a post birthday lull going on here... 

Craig had a great day yesterday and thanks to everyone for his good wishes. And to top it all it was Tuesday so Dominos do two for one on a Tuesday so that's what he picked for his birthday tea! I had been looking forward to a sneaky wee fish supper cos I was sure that's what he would pick :(  Never mind, I'll get to choose when it's my birthday in April :)

So this is the card I made him. This is my very first Kraftin Kimmie stamp and it definitely won't be the last. I'm after some of the new release that came out the other night and some more of them that I've spied..... I feel a new obsession coming on!

Happy birthday Craig

Morning - isn't this early....

Can't believe that today we are celebrating Craig's 11th birthday. Just seems like yesterday that he was born and now he's all grown up and ready to go to high school in August.... I am still in denial though and can't believe that he really won't be at primary school come August!

And with a sigh of relief I wave the children off to breakfast club this morning....

Actually the holiday was fine and we've all survived. 

We woke up yesterday morning to snow and it continued to snow throughout the morning. As Craig was going to the school Valentine disco last night we had to go and get him a hair cut so we got all wrapped up and walked down to the barbers. Popped into a friends on the way back for half an hour and by the time we came out it had started raining. And it hasn't stopped since! So no snow left.

Today's card is a card I made for a friend's special birthday which was last week... I was actually going to put his age on it but it didn't seem to fit somehow and nothing seemed to be working. So I left it on the my craft mat for a couple of hours and went back to it and had the idea of using the circular date stamp from LOTV so it doesn't actually *say* his age ;)

Well, we survived yesterday and today we're hopefully on going to see Wreck it Ralph but we've got to wait on the car being returned from the mechanic... fingers crossed!

Today's card is an engagement card I was asked to make last week. I have wanted to team this image up with the sentiment for a long time and I asked if the newly engaged couple would appreciate it before I did.... and apparently they did and the card went down well so my job is done ;)

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Morning all. 

It's Saturday, the boys are on holiday until Thursday so just have to decide what to do with the little darlings to keep them entertained....

So, it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' and this week our theme is 

Pearls and Swirls

Now I thought this would be easy... a coloured image, some swirls and pearls for decoration et voila... No matter what I did with the image though when I was at the Crafty Cabin, it didn't look right. 

Then, just as I was about to drop off to sleep on Thursday night I had a flash of inspiration.. AND I remembered what it was when I woke up! My friend Fiona said to me the other day "see what happens when you just switch off" and I think she's right!

It's something a little different from me but I have to say, I really love this card. I simply inked the cardstock with some DI and stamped the Indigo Blu sentiment in the middle and used the swirl from the Stampin Up Baroque Motifs set round the outside.
