Under the Sea

Be very thankful I haven't burst into song but it's many years since I saw The Little Mermaid and the dvd has never made it into this house surprisingly enough so I can't remember the rest of the words of the song.

This was a card I was asked to make for a girl who liked Disney Princesses and the closest I could come to that was to use Ocean's Gift from Funkykits and give her red hair to look like Ariel.

I am quite pleased with her hair even if the rest of the card leaves me cold!

Creative Craft Challenges

Morning!

It's time for a new challenge at Creative Craft Challenges and this time we'd like to see your creations that are for....

A Special Occasion (But Not A Birthday)

We're sponsored by Bugaboo who very kindly gave the DT some images to play with. I've used Deacon Candy Cane for my card and I decided to go with Christmas..

So, to quote Craig Revel Horwood this card has been a dis-ast-er dah-ling. Couldn't find the little box I have with charms in it cos I wanted to use a wee jingle bell on his hat, then when I couldn't find that I decided to colour the bell and use glossy accents but guess what, couldn't find the glossy accents. Then when I went to stick the buttons down I couldn't find the silicone glue I only bought on Thursday. Oh and, I was going to use my new puffy embossing glitter for his hat, only my embossing pen didn't seem to work properly so he's got fluffy stuff on his hat now instead.

Challenges I'd Like to
 Enter

ABC Christmas - U for Up To You
I Love Promarkers - Christmas is Coming
Anything Goes - Anything Goes at Anything Goes

Stamps
Deacon Candy Cane, Bugaboo
Sentiment, Stampin Up

Remember to pop by Creative Craft Challenges and see the rest of the inspiration my fellow teamies have left for you

And if you're on Facebook and enjoy our challenges then why not join our Facebook group.

Thanks for dropping by today. Enjoy your Tuesday.

I'm off to buy some apples for the school for their parties tomorrow.

Yeuch......

So, this is a soggy old Sunday isn't it? Well, it is here. After the beautifully crisp and cold frost of yesterday we've reverted to being soggy and damp - and there's been an extra hour of it. This isn't fair!

Now I've got some things I *should* be doing but I thought I'd share this little baby card with you first.  It's not the greatest photo in the world but it was difficult to take a decent photo of the stepper card.

And you'll notice what colour it is.... sometimes you just have to do it. I'm not sure the baby's parents would have appreciated a blue card.

Challenges I'd Like to Enter
TLT - The Ladybugs need a P... (p for, no I can't say it.... and pearls)
Stamptacular - Not Just an Ordinary Card
Brown Sugar - Anything Goes
Fussy and Fancy - Anything Goes

Cardstock/Paper

Embellishments

Thanks for dropping by today. Hope you're warm and dry. Enjoy what's left of the weekend. I'm off to do a spot of ironing. If I'm not back in a wee while send chocolate.

What's cooking?

And I also should have mentioned a new challenge over at Sweet Stampin today. It's the turn of Team Abi and they want to see your creations that involve cooking or something to eat.

There are some fab cards over there to inspire you on your way - not guaranteeing that this challenge is good for the diet though ;-) Just don't forget to stamp!

And look, who would have thought a WOW Hallowe'en card.... yes, you know how I like to do things a little differently ;)
The idea for this came to me in a flash during a conversation with Cathy. Not sure why, we weren't talking about Hallowe'en or Mummies or Crafting or anything like that. Usually when I have an idea though I don't act on it and then for the life of me, can never remember what the idea was in the first place!

Wednesday? Already?

How can that be?! Where is the time flying to?

So the postie hasn't been to bring me the new charger for the laptop yet, so I'm still on Craig's netbook :( sniff Of course, he is bound to deliver it tomorrow when I'm at the SECC for the Craft Show isn't he?!

Today's card is one of three baby cards I was asked for recently. I think (but I'll have to go back and check) that I have already shared one with you but this is #2.

I love this stamp set from Ladybug Crafts Ink called Baby Baby. Gorgeous little images and fabby sentiments too. I printed the details with the little chap's name on it and added that to the bottom part of the easel card.

Lost in Music

Cue for a song...

This is a card my friend asked me to make for her friend. Loves music and all things 80's was the brief as I was given. And I heard from Sharon yesterday that Tracey loved her card so I know that it's safe to share it here now.

I'm still on Craig's netbook as the charger for the laptop appears to be knackered. There's a new one on it's way so let's hope that solves the problem and that the laptop itself isn't knackered.

So hopefully once I've got that things can get back to normal and I can get back round visiting your lovely blogs again.

We've finished the decorating (of the living room) and it's lovely to sit in our nice new living room and type this :) I say we've finished. Flushed with success Andy now wants to decorate the hall too :/

Anyone who knows me will know how difficult this challenge was as I don't do Hallowe'en but the card had to be done.  This one isn't destined for the box never to see the light of day again as someone at Andy's work asked me for a Hallowe'en card.

Totally Papercrafts Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge over at Totally Papercrafts and today.. it should have been my turn to host the challenge but sadly this week I haven't actually managed to get my card finished on time so my lovely friend Cathy said she would host for me this time :)  Thank you Cathy. Mwah.

So anyway, you want to know the theme don't you? Well, it's

Christmas 9 Weeks And Counting

And why do I not have a card ready? Well, it's because I can't get to my stuff! The image is coloured, just not put on a card yet, so I shall have something for you before the start of the next challenge :) And why can I not get to my stuff?! Cos we've been decorating the living room this week so there's been lots of stuff put in the dining room and I can't get to the the table!!

So, enough of my excuses. Pop on over to Totally Papercrafts to see the Christmassy inspiration the DT have left for you :)

A Stitch in Time

So here we are midway through half term and we all seem to have survived unscathed so far. Took the boys to see Diary of A Wimpy Kid on Monday and then yesterday we went to see Madagascar 3. All this is combined with a spot of decorating in the afternoons.... and the children want to "help".

In the midst of all this, I appear to have lost my Kindle. I can't find it anywhere, although I'm sure it's in the house somewhere... suggestions as to where it might be are gratefully received.

So, on to today's card, and this is the last of the cards I made for my friend. This one was for her Aunt's 60th birthday. So glad I bought this stamp now for all the folk who appear to like sewing!

Creative Craft Challenges

Morning all, it's time for a new challenge over at Creative Craft Challenges and it's our 3rd birthday! Happy birthday to us.

So, in honour of the occasion the theme this fortnight is

The Number Three

We're sponsored this time by Robyn's Fetish, Stamping Dragon and Lili of the Valley.

You can choose to interpret the number 3 in any way you want... I've gone for the Three Wee Kings stamp by LOTV, three buttons and sheet music for Three Kings of Orient.

As I was colouring this image in I decided that the middle boy reminded me of Scott with his socks, so instead of leaving them white I've coloured them a kinda dirty grey ;)

Hey Mickey!

Hope you're having a good weekend. It's nice to think that we don't have to get up for the school run for the next week.

This is the third card I made for the same girl. I don't think I've ever made that many cards at the one time for the same person before lol! But having made a card for Scott's friend from her mum and dad and her sister, Scott wanted me to make a card for Eve! And this is the image he picked - don't you just love it, she's called Mousey Mo from Saturated Canary.

One Stop Craft Challenge

Well, today I have some news to share... I was asked earlier in the week to join the One Stop Craft Challenge DT and today I have my first card to share with you.

Today the challenge is

Heat Embossing

We're sponsored by A Day for Daisies who supplied the DT some images to work with.

So, heat embossing.... must be years since I have done this so it really was a bit of a challenge. I *think* I'm happy with what I've done. I even picked an image to work with that I wouldn't normally... (not a great cat lover but at least they don't come in p***)

My heat embossing is the little ticket at the bottom of the card. I thought it suited the image as I think the little girl is probably dreaming of something while she has her little kittens to keep her company.

Totally Papercrafts Challenge

Morning all! It's Friday and it's the start (almost) of the school holiday week.

It's time for a new challenge over at Totally Papercrafts and this week it's the turn of our lovely KraftyKoolKat (Cathy) to choose the theme and this week she has chosen

Make Your Own Flowers

Now I did toy with buying the circley flowery type die thing... but it's all a bit too faffy for me so I used a Spellbinders die that my friend Ruth gave me for my birthday that I hadn't actually used. I love these flowers though so I think I shall be using them again very shortly.

We're sponsored this week by Redonkulous and Delicious Doodles. Check out the TPC blog for more details.

Last week I won my lovely bloggy buddy Lisa's candy which was a £20 Lili of the Valley voucher and this is one of the stamps I bought with the voucher :) You will be seeing more of this one. Love her!

Like Buses

You wait ages for one and then 28398* turn up at once.
 *approximate number

So it is with these cards. One couple, but two different cards.  A friend from the rugby club had seen the anniversary card I made using this Tiddly Inks image and asked if I could do a Wedding Acceptance card using the same image and colours.

I didn't manage to drop it off with Sharon but gave it to someone else from the rugby club and when his wife saw the card she asked if I could do an evening acceptance card but using white and silver.

So here you go, both of the cards on display today :)

All Out Of Titles

Morning on this cold and frosty morning (actually I don't know if it's frosty I haven't looked out yet) but there is a definite nip in the air!

John Bishop was brilliant last night and if you're going to see him on his tour, then you're in for a treat.

And today, I'm off out again! I'm going to meet the lovely Ali for lunch and then I have Anchor Boys this evening.

On to today's card. This is another card I made for my friend's daughter but this time for her sister to give her (there's another one, that I made for Scott to give her but I'll share that another day!!)

Out. Again!

Not content with a night through in Edinburgh to see Slash and Myles on Sunday I am out again. This time to see John Bishop at the SECC. Saw him a couple of years ago and he was fab so really looking forward to tonight.

Sunday, 7 October 2012

Yawn.....

I think I may need an intravenous injection of caffeine shortly... I'm off to see Slash tonight in Edinburgh with the lovely Cass. And if I don't summon up some energy shortly I'll be asleep before she comes to get me!

I did start tidying up the boys rooms and getting beds and stuff put back to normal but they came back from rugby and I sat down with a cup of tea and I have found myself lacking the energy to get back up again.... oops.

So onto today's card. Another order for my friend for her niece. I've used Video Girl by Mo Manning. And to find out the name of the image, cos I couldn't remember I had to go onto Mo's site there. This little lady was hanging about on page 16. I think there have been an image on every page before that that I liked... and that was only the girl stamps.... Oh dear, oh very dear.
