Time For Tea Designs Card

Hello again, I'm back with my Time for Tea card for today.

Sorry about the blog post title, I couldn't think of anything snappier! I asked my friend who came up with "Don't Do It" and Scott who came up with "Jimbob McFluffles" and then when I said it was for a wedding card he suggested "Jimbob McFluffles Wedding".....

I've used an image from the new wedding release and it's called First Dance. I've cropped them down as I wanted to try and make the groom look like he was wearing a kilt....well, I tried ;) The sentiments are available in the full wedding collection.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Morning all, it's Saturday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'.

This week our theme is

Paper Piecing

I love paper piecing - and now I've discovered paper piecing with digi paper on a digi image I love it even more.

This one however, has not been done that way and I printed the image over a scrap of this black polka dot paper.

Try Defying Gravity

Hello.

A couple of weeks ago some friends and I went through to Edinburgh to see Wicked. What an awesome day we had and the show was absolutely amazing. When I saw this Faery Ink image of Elphaba I knew I had to make cards for the friends I was with.

I used my scene hill die but vertically rather than horizontally to try and mirror the Wicked poster.  It was such a fun card to make!

Queen's Man

Hello.

Last night we were so proud and honoured to be at the City Chambers for the presentation to 84 Queen's Men of the Glasgow Battalion of the Boys' Brigade.  The Queen's Badge is the highest honour they can achieve and there's a lot of hard work and dedication go in to gaining it.

So proud that Craig was one of those Queen's Men and I made him a card to celebrate.  I just used a colouring page of the BB emblem but I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out.

And a couple of photos of the night.

Shake Your Tail Feather

Hello again.

I'm back with my Time for Tea card for today.

I've used the new release for my card today - so versatile.

This wee chick is out for a party! I've added a tail feather for her to shake too - no birds were harmed in the use of this feather.

I'm sharing two cards today.

The first I made the other day as a card to send to someone going through a major op.  She's so brave and I'm happy to report all went well and she's now back at home.

Age and Glasses of Wine

Should never be counted!

Is it really only Tuesday? Really?

What an awesome weekend just gone.  The much anticipated trip to see Wicked was awesome and the whole day was just fabulous with brilliant company.

This is a card I made for my brother in law back in January... oops!  The photo isn't that great, but I liked the card so thought would share it anyway.

A Rockin' Thank You and a Sneak Peek

Hello again.

I'm back with my Time for Tea card for today.  This is a card I made for Craig's tutor to say thank you.  She's been with us since October and has been fabulous for building his confidence up and he's really benefitted from the tuition.

I've used Reading Girl for the card - she was his English tutor so this image was absolutely perfect.

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Christmas At Sweet Stampin'

As always it's Anything Christmas Goes

I was in the mood for a new digi the other day (as if I don't have enough Christmas stamps!) and came across this wee cutie at Cuddly Buddly.  Love a wee polar bear so this is what it had to be this month.

If You Can't Be Yourself....

be a unicorn!

Hello again, I'm here with my Time for Tea card for this week.

I've had to have therapy after the making of this card - actually, all the cards I've made this week have left me sitting here twitching with the girlieness of them all....

I'm going to attempt this card again but using different colours!

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Morning all, it's Saturday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'.

This week our theme is

Flowers

Last week was my local craft shop's (Craft World) biannual demo weekend - and I spent a lovely couple of hours catching up with friends and watching them as they demoed. Of course I had to buy some stuff and I was that inspired that I came home and had a play! I know.. incredible huh?! Do you do what I do and leave stuff in the bag for ages? Not this time so I've got a couple of cards to share today.

Both cards are done with Distress Oxides.
