A Classy Lady

Hello.

Have you had a good Monday? I wasn't ready for Monday - the weekend went by in what seemed like a flash!

I had loads to do tonight but I'm feeling a bit lazy so I haven't done any of it #oops #theresalwaystomorrow

So to today's card. I made a anniversary card for a friend at work for his wife. I've used the Stamping Bella stamp Audrey Loves Her Make Up and used some MME paper with chandeliers - I was going to use the chandelier from the Visible Image set but decided it was too big to put beside Audrey so I let the paper do the talking.

Cappuccino Friday

Hello.

How's your Friday been? Ready for the weekend?  We've a busy one ahead with lots of sporting endeavours with Scott so hoping the weather isn't going to be as bad as predicted.

So to today's card, which if I didn't blog today I would have to wait until next Friday!!

We have a tradition in work on a Friday that at 2.32pm we have a cappuccino, well today it was a special cappuccino (although actually today it was a mocha) as it is Donny's birthday tomorrow so I made a birthday card to celebrate too.

So cards based on a book please!

Here is mine, based on one of my favourite books - Anne of Green Gables. I did want to do my favourite book book but I couldn't think of what to do for To Kill A Mockingbird. But you would not believe this..... I have, as I type this, just had an idea!!

A Baby. In A Flowerpot. As You Do.

Hello.

I started to write this post ages ago and then went and did something else so I have now completely forgotten what I was going to write!

This is a wee baby card my friend asked me to make. She always starts her requests off with "you know how I like to give you a challenge"... well, when she said it was for a baby girl I thought the challenge was pink! Oh no, she said that the baby's name was Jex (there were other names too but I can't remember those) and that Dad had delivered the baby and that she didn't think they'd like a traditional baby card....

I discovered this sweet wee baby in a flower pot image over at Cuddly Buddly and decided to go for kinda earthy colours too. I'm pleased with the way it turned out and it was such a bonus not having to use you know what.

Retail Run

Hello.

Well, the Easter school holidays are almost over, the boys are in bed early ready to go back to school tomorrow. And it won't be long before the summer holidays!

Today's card is an order from a friend's mum who asked me to make a card for her grandson to give his mum - I tried to incorporate as much detail as I was given but one of the things you can't see is the sentiment I stamped in the inside which says Keep Calm and Buy Shoes.

In A Corner

Hello

Just a quick post tonight as I wanted to share this card I made a few weeks ago for a friend's parent's Ruby Wedding Anniversary.

It's really just a lot of dies in red and cream and I was midway poking through the bits from the corner dies when I remembered why I don't use it a lot!! Never mind, I think they look good but maybe next time I'll remember and use something else instead ;)

Just An Old Trout

Hello.

Well, the peace and quiet has been shattered with the arrival of Scott back from camp. He had a fabulous time down in Bewdley and that's thanks in no small part to the officers of the BB who all use a week's annual leave to take the boys away to camp. I guess it's testament to how much they enjoy it that the officers are prepared to do it every year.

So to today's card. Now as you know I am not a huge fan of the film Frozen. In fact, it's up there with some of the worst films I've ever seen but I was asked to make a card for my friend's niece who's having her party today - apparently everything is Frozen themed for the birthday girl today.  I showed the photo of the half done card to one of my friend who said "I'd recognise that old trout from Frozen anywhere" (she's also not a fan!) so here we are, a card featuring an old trout!

Christmas At Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Christmas At Sweet Stampin'

Our theme this month is

Candles or Bells (or you could be really clever and go for both!)

We're sponsored this month by All Dressed Up who are offering two digis to the winner.

Now I'm not really a bells or candles on a Christmas card sort of girl so this one was a bit of a challenge until I stumbled across this freebie image on a blog - Kajsan's Scrapblog.

I think Pippi looks a bit on the dazed and confused side which kind of appeals to me.

Why Is It So Hard To Think Of Blog Post Titles

Hello.

Well it's been a sunny Easter Monday and we've had our first BBQ of the season... yeah, I know, I can't believe it either.

It's strangely quiet in the house this evening. Scott went off to BB camp this morning until Saturday. They've arrived safely and the sun is shining so all is good.

Today I'm sharing a baby card with you, not just for one as you can see, but for twins. This is a Mo Manning image which is absolutely fabulous, these babies are so cute. I've paper pieced their little babygros just to give it some colour but I actually prefer white babygros but that might be just too much white!! I've kept the card simple as I wasn't really sure when the twins were one of each variety how to embellish the card without going too much one way or the other. This was a card I was asked to make and I popped it through a friend's door (across the street) and by the time I got back home, she had text to say how fabulous it was, now that's definitely a satisfied customer.

A Bunny's Bottom!

Hello

Have you had a good Easter Sunday?

Thought I'd better share this before Easter goes! Scott really liked this wee image from Digi Stamp Boutique so I decided I'd buy it. It doesn't take much persuasion to buy images to be fair!

I've kept the card small and simple but if I'd had a small enough cotton wool ball I would have used it for the tail. Ah well, maybe next year!!

Happy Easter

Luke 24 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” Then they remembered his words.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Morning all, it's Saturday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'.

This week our theme is

Paper Piecing

Our sponsor this week are Live and Love Crafts.

This card was actually made during a crafty weekend I had with some pals down at a friends in Carlisle and ended up being one of the cards I made for another friend's daughter to give her for her birthday.

I love paper piecing and as you can see I have paper pieced her skirt, her top and her sign. I would have paper pieced her boots but they just looked too footery!!

Flipping Good!

Hello.

I wouldn't normally be around this time on a Thursday evening as I would be at the cabin for Crafty Night with Cass. however, Andy was supposed to be going out tonight so we changed that to Tuesday. Unfortunately Andy's night out was actually cancellled so we could have stuck with our normal evening! Never mind.

You'll remember the last card I shared was a 50th birthday card for my friend's brother. Well, this is the card I made for her kids to give him.  I bought this wee cutie at the SECC back in March and didn't really have a reason other than I thought he was sweet, however, Jill asked me for a card and as her brother is a chef this seemed appropriate!!
