Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Love to Create

This week our theme is

Our sponsors this week are Fred She Said.

I've used a pre-coloured digi image for this card - Nolan and The Bullfrog. You will also notice that I've concentrated on the bottom half of the colour palette and ignored the top half. Well you wouldn't expect anything else really would you?!

A Huge Leap for Mankind

Well. Ish.

Yesterday two people were leaving Andy's work (where I used to work too)and they were having a wee do in the office. The boys were at badminton club last night from 5.30 until 7 so I took the opportunity of nipping to the office to bid them farewell. Which was a huge step. I haven't been over the door of the office and haven't looked back at it since I left nearly 2 years ago. Got to be honest I was a bit worried about going back but I needn't have. It was nice to see friends again, even if my time was limited!

So they've moved on from the CS too and I'm sure I'll see both of them again soon.

These were the cards I made for them.

With this card I've used LotV James and the flower but I have given him a champagne bottle instead using a Stampendous stamp and I cut his paw a wee bit (it wasn't painful) so that he could hold it.

And one of the folk was leaving got a poem written for her by a friend from the Dundee office. I got one too but on this occasion he actually recorded himself which he sent to Andy and I burned a cd and made a box for the cd using the envelope punch board. The sticker is from a sheet from Designs on Pine.

Sometimes You Need a Little Push

Afternoon all.

Something a little different today - I recently (reluctantly) took part in an ATC swap over at That Craft Place. I say reluctantly cos I wasn't going to sign up to take part but my friend put my name forward as she was organising it. I was a bit worried though as I thought there's no way I'd be able to do one. And look, I actually did two! (the second one, truth be told was as a swap for one that Lorraine had already sent me!)

You'll note they're both completely different and although I like that I'd actually quite like to try a series of similar ones. Maybe. So actually I think I'm quite glad that I was volunteered for this challenge as I would have shied away from it otherwise.

Moving Along With the Times Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Moving Along With the Times.

This week our theme is set by the lovely Red and she's challenged us to use this, one of her very first cards, as a sketch for today's challenge. There's a second part for the DT too but I'll come on to that.

And here's my card. Isn't this girl just the cutest? I got the paper in a swap from one of my Love to Create teamies and I've been looking for an excuse to use it for ages. This seemed like a good reason to use it.

Sugar Bowl Challenge

Morning all. It's time for a new challenge over at the Sugar Bowl.

One lucky winner of this challenge gets to choose  4 pieces of super sweet Sugar Nellie rubber candy
(or 6 pieces, if there are over 100 entries)
from

image

Make a card or other craft project using a Sugar Nellie image and this prize could be yours….

The theme this month is

Easter/Spring

(remember the Sugar Nellie image - that's essential!)

I've used a very old SN image this time - Maggie with Spring Flowers and she's on special offer right now so what are you waiting for! I've paper pieced her little pinafore and I had paper pieced her shirt but it looked too wintry! And I know she's wearing black shoes which aren't very spring like but I imagined she had been dressed up on Easter Sunday to go and see her Granny!

Our sponsor this month is Yours and Mine Papercrafts.

My idea for this month's card started off being a completely different image but when I was doing some DT commenting I came across this wonderful digi company called LeeHIllustrations and found this gorgeous image!

Special Delivery

Evening all from a cold, wet and windy Glasgow. Spring?! Pah.

I was asked recently for a baby girl card so it gave me an excuse to break out this cute stamp I bought recently from Lili of the Valley.

I decided that the image called for a wee delivery note as an embellishment so it meant I was able to personalise the card.

Our sponsor this week is Stamp Art by Kathyrne.

And here's my card. And, oh, look I didn't go for a line which featured the top left hand corner. Surprised....

Bath-Time

Morning all.

Today I'm sharing a card I was asked to make for a friend's friend's 40th birthday. I was given a brief and one of the things was that she liked baths so I decided to use Bubble Bath Sassy. If only so I could get lots of Stickles on to make them look like bubbles.  I also got to use my favourite Stampin' Up paper.... still got that unopened pack you know ;)

Love to Create Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Love to Create

This week our theme is

Clean and Simple and/or Classy and Elegant

Our sponsors this week are Milk Coffee and Di's Digi Downloads.

I've used a Milk Coffee image for my card which I've cropped down.

I've given her yellow coloured medicine as it reminded me of the Penicillin that the kids get that has to be kept in the fridge!

I'm enjoying making circle cards just now. Just a change from my normal 6x6 square card and I love one layer cards even though they make me nervous that when I stamp the sentiment on after I've coloured the image.... just in case it goes wrong. Maybe I should do it the other way round.

Hobbycutz Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Hobbycutz

This week our theme is

A Shaped Card

so none of your square cards this week!

We're sponsored this week by Sassy Studio.

Now this isn't what I had in mind when I started off making this card. I went to look for something else and discovered this Sizzix snowflake die that I bought in the recent sale and decided I'd go for a snowflake shaped card.... yeah, I know. Make life easy eh?!

Once I had cut the snowflake I cut a circle to stick it to but I embossed it first. I then printed the sentiment and in a HUGE departure for me I actually changed the look of one of Kobie's fabby embellishments. I love the look of them, I like the wood so I tend not to touch them when I'm using them but sticking a wooden butterfly on my WOW card would have looked a bit silly. I painted it white and when it was dry I added some Cosmic Shimmer Glacier Ice.

Keep Calm. Drink Beer......

Morning.

Hope everyone well. Thank you all for your lovely comments on my little chocolate box. And to those of you who remarked on the absence of said chocolate..... yes, you might* be right.

*are definitely

So on to a very simple card for today, I'm in a simple kind of mood this morning. We were at our friend's 40th birthday party last night. It was a late night and although I wasn't drinking as I was driving I'm still feeling a little tired! (and someone was playing football at 9am this morning so we were all up early!!)

It was the lovely Sandra's husband's birthday through the week and I couldn't think of an appropriate image to use for him.... then I remembered ages ago seeing these images on Pink Gem Designs so I decided to go for that. It's a sentiment that I know Pete will endorse wholeheartedly. (and that'll be Andy's birthday card sorted too!)

MAWTT Challenge

Hello again.

It's time for a new challenge at Moving Along With the Times.

This week our theme is

Make A Box and Decorate It

I've gone for a box you can put a chocolate bar in, it's made using the We R Memory Keepers Envelope punch board and I've decorated it simply with a wee tag and some ribbon and pearls. If I'd been really clever I would have had a bar of chocolate to put in the box but....

This week our theme is

Inspired by a Film, Book or Song

Our sponsor this week is and our monthly sponsor is Cuddly Buddly who are offering a £10 voucher to the monthly winner.

I have gone for a Christmas card and I haven't just been inspired by one of the above. Oh no.....

Film - The Snowman
Book - The Snowman - Raymond Briggs
Songs! - We're Walking in The Air
Let it Snow, Let It Snow, Let it Snow

I bought The Snowman set of stamps in the £1 shop at the craft show at the SECC on Thursday. Got to be honest, it was pretty crap. Loads of space and some of the stalls that were there were just filler stalls like Flower Arranging, Sugarcraft Guild and Gardening Cutting equipment.....
