That Craft Place Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at That Craft Place

This time our theme is

Sentiment

I have two things to share today - I made the first and then the lovely Lisa brought out her own range of stamps Ditzie Designs - available from That Craft Place so of course I had to create something else too!

So this first is a heart I bought - I was inspired by looking at some decopatch although I didn't actually want to do that! I simply painted with some acrylic paint and stamped the Visible Image sentiment with some contrasting blue ink and then stamped the Grunge Flourish round the outside of the heart.

And this is my second offering today - this is a frame I bought from Lisa's shop ages ago with the intention of doing something else with it and when I started off I was actually going to cover up the frame with some paper but I decided just to stamp round the edge of it because I thought it looked to pretty bare to cover up! I used the Grunge Flourish again.

Totally Papercrafts Challenge

Morning all, it's Friday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Totally Papercrafts

This week it's the turn of the lovely Catherine to set the challenge and she has chosen the theme

Use Glitter

We're sponsored this week by Delicious Doodles.

You can't actually see the glitter from the photo but I assure you it's there. I used the lines on the paper and went over them with a glue pen and glamour dusted them. A very quick and simple card. Now if only I had more of this paper I'd be making more of these cards but alas it was out of the scrapbox so this is it!

Selfie!

See this face, that looks like me right now! I am so fed up with this blooming cold!

However, in this card it's cos she can't find the bottle opener.... I was asked to make a slightly quirky new home card for someone and this seemed to fit the bill! I've given her a to do list which includes the names of her boys and the very important X Box!

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Love to Create

This week our theme is a colour challenge and these are the colours we want you to use.

Our sponsors this week are Bugaboo and Dr Digi's House of Stamps.

I've used a Bugaboo image for my card Cupcake Gingerbread. I've made my own wee cinnamon stick as a decoration - made this at the Crafty Cabin the other day and Cass had seen it somewhere - it's just a rolled bit of kraft card which I've inked using Distress Inks.

Dream Valley Challenges

Please scroll down for my Hobbycutz DT card.

Hello, I'm back again this time with a new challenge at Dream Valley Challenges

This fortnight our theme is

Humour

Our sponsor this fortnight is Bugaboo.  I've gone for this cheeky little elf that I got from Pollycraft recently before it closed it's doors. I think, on reflection, a grumpy elf might have been better but we'll make do with this wee chappy.

Hobbycutz Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Hobbycutz

This week our theme is

Inspired by a Song

We're sponsored this week by The Stamping Chef who provided the DT with some images to use.

I've used Cabaret for my card. And the song I was inspired by.....

No, not Cabaret but this one

OK you're wondering why aren't you? Well I was watching the Def Leppard movie Viva Hysteria at the time when I decided what I'd do for my card and Photograph was the song that was on at that particular time, it could equally have been any other track from the album!

This isn't the card I had planned (bits of which have been sitting in a poly pocket for months) however, I've been feeling rubbish this week (thanks Scott) so didn't manage to get those bits into a card!

So this is the next best thing!

Moving Along With the Times Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Moving Along With the Times.

This week our theme is

No Designer Paper
So we want you to NOT USE any papers for this week's challenge...
you can create your own patterned background using distress inks or stamps, or you could layer up card, emboss card, use die cuts, images etc. anything as long as NO PAPERS!!

And here is my card. I was asked to make a Christening card earlier in the year and wanted a classic look for the card so I simply used the Regal Frame embossing folder as my base. I've used the Mo Manning digi for the image which I've cut out using Floral Ovals, some Memory Box Precious hearts, pearls, ribbon and we're done. Perfect for the occasion.

That Craft Place Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at That Craft Place

This time our theme is

Hallowe'en

I have made a hanging - using a paper plate!! Using large circle nesties I cut a circular band to go round the outside of the plate. To cover I cut lots of Marianne Designs rolled flowers. The bats and the ghosts were cut using the Cricut and the webs are a Cheery Lynn die. The netting is from a bag of oranges (or something) and you can't actaully see it from the photo I don't think but I actually used the dried glue stringy lines as dust... I could have used actual dust I suppose but I quite liked the glue effect!

Rockin' (but not around the Christmas Tree)

Afternoon from a very wet and windy Glasgow. Now I was supposed to be having some peace and quiet this afternoon with all the boys going through to Edinburgh for the Hibs v Aberdeen game but sadly Scott didn't feel up to it so Andy went by himself and the boys stayed here! To be honest, if the weather is as rubbish through there as it is here I'm glad Scott didn't go.

So I went to the SECC on Thursday for the craft show and went back again today (but only very briefly as I had the boys) - and I was really inspired when I came home on Thursday but was out Thursday night so wasn't able to do very much.  Last night was Crafty Night and I got to the Cabin and was completely lacking in any inspiration :(

This is a card my friend asked me to make for her kids to give to their Dad.  It's quite hard making a card for other kids' parents - I know what Andy and the boys like but it's harder knowing what other folk like!

Anyway, this is what I came up with. I used the Kenny K Anime Rocker stamp and teamed it with the Dienamics tshirt and I found a wee guitar in some stash I bought at the SECC in March.
