Birthdays, Birthdays and Christmas

Morning all, it's Saturday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'.

This week our theme is

Cause for Celebration

Now the more observant of you will note that this is not a Team Fi week but it's Sweet Stampin's 4th birthday so some of us from Team Fi are joining in with the celebrations.

Our sponsors this week are Bunny Zoe, Crafters Companion and Wild Orchid Crafts who are all offering £10 vouchers to the winners. Our monthly sponsor is The Ribbon Girl who are offering a £10 voucher to the monthly winner.

Now I was going to be really clever and not do a Christmas or a birthday card but I've ended up with a Christmas card. I have seen loads of the chalkboard effect on Pinterest recently and wanted to give it a try. This is Weathered White Embossing Powder but I think I'd like to try a brighter white one.

Challenges I'd Like to Enter

Now today isn't just Sweet Stampin's birthday - it's also the Doctor's 50th birthday.... and tonight is the much anticipated 50th birthday special! Can't wait. So here's a wee photo of 10 and 11 and the War Doctor.

 Thanks for dropping by today.

Remember to drop by Sweet Stampin' and see what the rest of the Sweeties have been up to!

Perhaps you could have a go yourself, don't forget to stamp now ;)

Love the embossed sentiment, Susan. I really struggle with embossing 'cos I tend to get powder everywhere except where I want it to be, so I'm well impressed with this chalkboard panel. I vaguely remember the first Dr Who being on telly... and hiding behind the sofa because I was terrified of the Daleks. I'm sure it was even more scary in black & white! xx

Loooove your elegant card Susan. And yes, our entire house is counting down for the 50th this evening!
Eldest child is going to watch it at a friend, and apparently there will be fish fingers and custard and jelly babies, lol. x
