It's time for a new challenge at Charisma Cardz.

This week our theme is

April Showers

Our sponsors this week are Bugaboo, Digi Stamp Boutique and Inky Impressions.

I was inspired to use a stamp I bought at the SECC in March. I just love James the bear and this stamp is no exception. I've coloured him in using the WG Copics and paper pieced his umbrella. Doing this card reminded my of a Physics teacher at school whose mnenonic for remembering the rainbow was Rock On You Great Baldy Veteran. So Big J, this one's for you!

Space Oddity

Morning all.

With the boys away, Andy was off yesterday and went off to play golf with friends so I decided to have a day crafting. And I've got to say I really enjoyed it. I didn't enjoy the having to clear it all up but I am such a messy crafter that I couldn't begin anything else until I had tidied up!

Now this isn't one of the cards I made yesterday but it's a birthday card I made for my friends daughter recently - she's daft on space so this seemed like a great image to use for her! I used this Bo Bunny paper but I knew in my head that I had another stack of space paper I wanted to use, couldn't find it at the time. Of course, I've found it now ;)

What's That Noise?

It's nothing. It's silence.....

The boys went away to Boys' Brigade camp in Scarborough yesterday and the silence in the house is odd! We've haven't very often had the house completely to ourselves in 12 years (once I think!) - we don't have parents that the children can go and stay with and if one has been away the other one has been here so it's odd that they're away at the same time and they're away till Saturday! Eeek.

Anyhow, they've arrived safely and I'm sure they're both having a ball. Craig is off to Lightwater Valley today but I'm not sure what Scott's group are up to.

So today I wanted to share a card which is a good sentiment for this week. It's a birthday card I made for a good friend who likes tea - as much as I do!! And these wee Joy dies are perfect for this sentiment.

Love to Create Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Love to Create

This week our theme is

Anything Goes for a Child

Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo who very kindly supplied the DT with images to play with.

I had an idea that I would make a door hanging for one of the boys and what I had intended was to cut out letters to make Beware of the Boy.... but when I was looking through my Sizzlit alphabets I found this Boy's Zone sign. Which had never been used. And when I was looking for something else I found the bone!

It almost became a card when I couldn't find anything boyish enough to make it into a door hanging. Then I remembered this jute twine I got from B&Q. Perfect!

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Morning all, it's Saturday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'.

This week our theme is

Easter

Our sponsor this week is Crafty Devils.

For my card this week I've gone for something a little different. This is a fridge. This is God's fridge. My favourite Christian author, Max Lucado, said

“If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning... Face it, friend. He is crazy about you! ”

So when I came to think about an Easter card I decided to go for a fridge with a photo on it. I was going to go mad with fridge magnets but..... I resisted! However, my card has upset our lovely Abi as she wouldn't be able to resist the temptation to straighten up the photo!!

Charisma Meets Die Cut Crazy

Welcome to the Charisma Cardz Meets Die Cut Crazy Special Challenge and Blog Hop. You should have arrived from Vee and you're going next to the Die Cut Crazy Facebook page.

Our Wonderful design team have this week teamed up with the wonderful magazine Die Cut Crazy to bring you some wonderful inspiration from the world of Die Cutting and also a fab packed April Edition which is available for download on all IOS Apple Devices via the Newstand and in PDF format from the website! Our designers have made some wonderful Easter and Spring projects to inspire your own crafting with your die cuts.

This week at Charisma we have an ‘ANYTHING GOES’ Challenge where you can join in by linking or emailing charisma with your cards/designs and of course as always there are some fabulous prizes to be won which the winners will be announced next week on the blog and featured in next months issue of Die Cut Crazy.

As well as this we have a fabulous blog hop showcasing all the designers which you should have a look around! And for each comment you leave at each stop we’ll be drawing some random winners for prizes!

If you just joined our hop, be sure and go back to the Charisma Cardz Challenge Blog to start from the beginning!

And here is my card.

I have used the gorgeous Princess from Funky Kits. I've cut her out using a Giant Nestie Circle and embellished her with die cut flowers. This was a card for a 40th birthday and as I didn't know the person it was hard to know whether to actually put her age on it. So I hid it behind the circle on a die cut tag!

Thanks for stopping by the Charisma Cardz Meets Die Cut Crazy Magazine Blog Hop and Challenge. I hope my project inspires you to create your own Spring/Easter project.  Please leave a comment to let me know you stopped by.

Next up in the hop is the Die Cut Crazy Facebook page
If you just joined the hop, here is a list of designers so you don't miss any

A Huge Leap for Mankind

Well. Ish.

Yesterday two people were leaving Andy's work (where I used to work too)and they were having a wee do in the office. The boys were at badminton club last night from 5.30 until 7 so I took the opportunity of nipping to the office to bid them farewell. Which was a huge step. I haven't been over the door of the office and haven't looked back at it since I left nearly 2 years ago. Got to be honest I was a bit worried about going back but I needn't have. It was nice to see friends again, even if my time was limited!

So they've moved on from the CS too and I'm sure I'll see both of them again soon.

These were the cards I made for them.

Dandelion Wishes - Inkylicious

 Cardstock/Paper
From stash

 Ink
Memento Cocoa Brown

Embellishments
Pearls
Lace
Seam Binding Ribbon

Tools
Circle Nesties
Alium Embossing Folder

With this card I've used LotV James and the flower but I have given him a champagne bottle instead using a Stampendous stamp and I cut his paw a wee bit (it wasn't painful) so that he could hold it.

And one of the folk was leaving got a poem written for her by a friend from the Dundee office. I got one too but on this occasion he actually recorded himself which he sent to Andy and I burned a cd and made a box for the cd using the envelope punch board. The sticker is from a sheet from Designs on Pine.

 Thanks for dropping by today.
