Totally Papercrafts Challenge

Morning all, it's Friday and that means it's time for a new challenge over at Totally Papercrafts.

This week our challenge is hosted by lovely Lisa and she has chosen this inspiration photo as the theme for this week.

This is her dog Dixie, relaxing in one of her favourite spots. You can use this as inspiration in any way you want - you can use the colours (cream/aqua/brown)... a dog or a chair... As long as you use some element of the photo in your card or project!

This week we have TWO fabulous sponsors:

Meljen's Designs

and

Mayzy's Art

And here is my card, you can see I went with the chair and the colours.. And that's twice recently I've used my Elegant Soiree paper.....

Crafts and Me - Ribbon and A Bow
Divas by Design - Anything Goes
The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes
The ABC Challenge - T for Two

Ready Teddy Go

Well you will be pleased to know that I did tidy the table last night - there is now plenty space to work on and I did do some work this afternoon. I organised things too so might find it slightly easier to work. Or not. I may never find anything again.

And I was about to go to bed when I got a message from a friend about half price school shoes but the offer was to finish at 6am this morning... so I had to log back on to the laptop and just check it out. Bought Clarks shoes for the boys half price - fingers crossed that they actually fit them!

So today I am sharing with you a card I was commissioned to make. It was for a friend's daughters to give to their Celtic mad Dad. I was asked for a card with a Celtic shirt and a #7 on it.... I panicked slightly and then I remembered this wee cutie from LotV!

WOYWW

Just thought I'd share this today.... as it's Wednesday and time for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

This is the dining room table before we went on holiday. And I did tidy it up but it is an even worse state now. I should really go and tidy up. I can't actually do anything until it's tidy. I don't mind making the mess, it's the tidying up I can't stand ;)

I have decided though - I am going to tidy it now. It could be a long night.

Been to the cinema again today with the kids! Thanks to all tickets being £2.95 on a Tuesday at the Empire Cinema and the Odeon Kids Club tickets being £2.50 I have spent less than £15 on two trips to the cinema this week :) Today it was Mirror Mirror, which I have to say, wasn't bad.

Busy Day

Yesterday we had quite a lazy day - just felt I needed a day not running about visiting places like we had while on holiday. Made up for it today though....

Boys went to a holiday club in a local school (the High School that Craig will be going to next year, sniff) this morning and I had intended to take them to the cinema this afternoon. Yvonne and I dropped the kids off at the school and went for coffee and I mentioned the cinema so Yvonne decided that she would get the car from her hubby and come with us too so we all went to see Ice Age this afternoon. The kids all loved it, Scott wants the dvd.... already...

At 6pm I was meeting friends at the sports centre for our regular badminton game but one of them wasn't well and Craig wanted to come along and watch, however, he actually got to play with us and he wasn't half bad.

Then we came home and I collapsed in a heap!

I did find time in the evening to call my lovely friend Cathy, so good to catch up.

So onto a card, a bit belated I know but I didn't share it with you. This is the thank you card and gift I did for Scott's teachers. He had 2! The cards were virtually identical but as one of his teachers was retiring I made her a memory book rather than a notebook. Sadly I forgot to take a photo.

Just noticed there is a pearl missing from one of the flowers, I am sure I sorted it before Scott gave it to the teacher.

I'd like to enter the card in the following challenges:

Here Come The Boys - Tag on a Card
Hanna and Friends - Favourite Colours (blues and browns)

What to do?

This is Glasgow Fair Monday, it's the start of the trades fortnight so Andy is off for another day... although, he's gone to play golf so the boys and I are in the house.

I was full of plans to do something but it's looking kinda damp and miserable out there so not sure we will be doing very much.  Maybe the unpacking will get done at last.... Mmm, how could I make that fun?!

So I was at the Crafty Cabin last night as Cass and her family go on holiday on Tuesday, I'm afraid I wasn't that productive, although I should have been because I have loads to do.

I did manage to do a card for the Sugary Sunday SN Facebook challenge, which this week, is One For The Boys :) I'm not that happy with his hair, I tried to go for the choppy look but am not entirely convinced by it but figured if I tried to fix it I would end up binning it so it will do!

Challenges I'd like to enter:

Sugar Bowl - Gayle's sketch
Make it Monday
Creative Mondays - For Men
Incy Wincy - Dust it Off (the image is quite an old one, I think I may have used him once on Craig's birthday card a couple of years ago and then he went back in the box, the stamp, not Craig)
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Let's Hear it For the Boys

Better late than never

Time passes so quickly, well, that's my excuse but way back in March (I gulped when I saw that) the lovely Susie sent me this blog award, I am sure I thanked her at the time (although didn't actually get round to posting) but here I am now, thank you Susie! I really appreciate it.  Pop over to Susie's blog and take a look at her cards... and one of her recent cards makes me want to buy a particular stamp. I'm trying to resist..... but you know what the Borg say.... Resistance Is Futile ;)

The LIEBSTER BLOG AWARD is used to show appreciation of smaller blogs (under 200 followers)  and to help spread readership and joy.
As part of the tradition the award is to be passed along to five other blogs that have motivated and inspired
 me.
The name comes from the German meaning Dearest or  Beloved, but can also mean Favourite.

To accept the Award you must:
1. Link back to the person's blog who gave it to  you, and thank them.
2. Post on your blog.
3. Give to five other Bloggers who you appreciate and value.
4. Leave a comment on the five blogs you choose and  let them know.

So who to pass the award on to.. well, there are so many blogs I look at who inspire me so it was hard to narrow it down and each one inspires me for different reasons but anyway, these are the four (yes, I know it was supposed to be five but I decided if I waited any longer I'd never get this posted.

Thanks for dropping by today. I am off to the Crafty Cabin tonight as Cass goes on holiday on Tuesday. I need to make up my shopping list for her as she will be very near a certainy Sugary Sweet Stamp shop ;)

Trying to get back to normal

Pfft!

Still sitting in amongst stuff that needs unpacked or if it has been unpacked, put away.... Just don't seem to have the motivation to do it though. Maybe tomorrow.. or not.

So this is a card I did for my fellow Sweetie Kim whose (big) birthday it was recently. I know that she's got the card now though, so it's safe to post. It had to go all the way to America too. I'm sure she won't mind me sharing it with you - I've used one of my favourite stamps, Martini Nikki and my very favourite Stampin' Up papers, Elegant Soiree.

Challenges I'd like to enter:

Cupcake Crafts - Number Cruncher

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

This is a scheduled post.

We did come home yesterday, but wanted to make sure that I did this before I went away!!

It's time for another challenge over at Sweet Stampin' and this week we would like to see you use

The Colours of Your National Flag

Now, I decided that as a few of my fellow sweeties are Scottish and might use blue and white of the St Andrew's cross I thought I would use the red and yellow of the Lion Rampant.

We're sponsored this week by Kenny K. Now I did have a Kenny K digi or a Kenny K stamp I could have used but I kinda ran out of time in the run up to the holidays so I've gone with this card instead.

I made this card for Tracey, a Sweet Stampin Sweetie so I hope she's got it by now, I was late in posting it but hopefully the Royal Fail have delivered it by now.

If we keep digging we might reach Australia

It's our last day here. We've had a lovely time and the sun has shone for most of the time.

The boys are making plans for next year's holiday here so it must have been good.

You cannot be serious

Scott now thinks he is the next Andy Murray. I tried telling him he looked more like Mac (still my fave) but he just looked at me blankly! Pfft.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Hello! This week's theme for Sweet Stampin'   is Stripes or Chevrons which I think I've interpreted in the loosest possible sens...
